I think this is still playable. One turn later isn't that bad, I think. Reasonable nerf that doesn't destroy the archetype (unlike cubelock which should be much more decent to play against haha).

Giving decks 1 extra turn to deal with a potential 12/12 that can't be targeted is good. I still think this will get used, but will not have as much of a win percentage. Also, that extra turn means you are potentially drawing your 8 or 10 mana spells too.
I wish there was an "I'm not sure" option. The card is obviously still playable. 24+ stats on 7 is still far above curve. But things like Bonemare totally faded into obscurity, despite still being a good card at its mana cost.
I'm inclined to think this may not have been enough to stop people from complaining about it. That said, there is a big hole in the 6 mana spot for most spiteful decks now.
This should have been 8 mana. Could have made it a 5/5 but 7 mana doesn't change anything. I have been in trouble when Spiteful Summoner was played on turn 7 instead of 6.

you could maybe stick in a Skulking Geist. Could work.
Nice nerf, some people don't understand how a 1 mana increase is huge in this kind of game.
CotW are nuts for 8 manas and make hunter a Tier 1 deck, only 1 mana increase and don't see play anymore and hunter down to tier garbage.
1 mana weapon shaman with spell damage bonus, broken Tier 1 deck, only 1 mana increase, the shaman remain with Tier 1 deck but the weapon never see play again.
Now, for 7 manas the Spiteful never see play again, not because the card become much worse than before but the downside for not running cheap spells become HUGE, you always count with your big turn 6 play to recover the tempo of don't running cheap removal and sometimes is too late, in turn 7 always will be late vs any agressive deck.

End of history for Spiteful.
I'll quote you on this when Spiteful Druid is still a T2 deck.
7 Mana 16/16 or 12/12 is still pretty damn busted. Should be 8 Mana but it´s fine i guess, Spiteful isn´t anyways a problem archetyp.
Yep, but don't do much vs aggro anymore, no 10 manas minion or Spiteful have taunt, vs aggro is the death turn or win a game you already won, this happen sometimes in turn 6, now is sure and vs control is one turn more to prepare and draw a answer like meteor or DK priest.
I really think Spiteful decks will gone like hunters with CotW nerf.

Maybe, I'll quote you on this when don't see any Spiteful deck 2 weeks after the nerfs, people will try, fail and give up but will take 2 weeks in this process.

Glad they made a change that didn’t destroy the archtype. It’s still completely viable, just a little slower.
I don't understand, will this nerf actually change anything? It's only a one mana increase. Shouldn't they have at least nerfed the 4/4 body as well?

Check out my entry for this week's Card Design Competition. Vote for it if you like it.
This should be 8 mana, well, at least its one more turn and mana to react
So I guess I will be playing it on turn 7 than .... I think they need to change the mechanic, not the cost ....

Not quite far enough IMHO, but I guess we will see.
