I was thinking specifically about Novice Engineer. She used to be a 1/2, but nowadays I can't imagine that being a problem anymore. I'm not trying to advocate for the reversal of nerfs or anything. But I think it would be an interesting topic to go over past nerfs or buffs and see if they became unnecessary when the new cards came out.
The descendant nerfs are based on those old ones. They wouldn't make sense if you rewound former changes like that.
Novice Engineer was overpowered back being 1/2. Simply imagine everyone draws his Druid combo or Gadgetzan Auctioneer or AoE spells or anything else 20% faster in actual games, without even hurting the deck structure. The meta might have become too fast to conduct. But of course the nerf totally killed this card. You won't see it outside freeze Mage.
Wow I didn't even know about those nerfs but yea, I don't see how their pre nerf forms would be any bit better nowadays. I am still unconvinced about novice engineer, I feel like nobody would play it nowadays as a 1/2.

People play Gnomish Inventor, so they would definitely play Novice Engineer as a 1/2.
A Novice Engineer that didn't instantly die to a Mage, Druid, or Rogue ping? Hell yeah, I'd run that.

I looked at this card originally and I thought, you know, it's a card, and you play this card. The card will be that card that you play so you're playing a card. So, it is one thing to play a card. If you're opponent doesn't really have any cards, the card will screw up the card pretty hard, and that means it's a pretty good card.
1/2 Novice is insane, draw card is valued at 1.5 mana and a 1/1 is just about 1 value so right now it is perfectly balanced as it can be removed by the majority if decks at 1/1. At 1/2 Im sure it was a utterly annoying to play against for so many decks.
I think the one card that has recently been over nerfed is Starving Buzzard. I hated the sight of this card with those dogs so Im grateful it was nerfed. I really think this rework could honestly have been made to 4 mana however. I havent seen this card since the nerf, like at all, not even in arena. Card destroyed (Unnecessary but I'm grateful. Hunters too much Ammo still)

Same experience here. It's gone extinct. I got one off a Webspinner a couple weeks ago. Gave me the sad.

actually a 1/1 is valued at 0 mana. And card draw is valued at 1 mana (flare.) If novice engineer would be a 1/2 then people would be like "I would run it over novice engineer." However, I can see people running loot hoarder in deathrattle themed decks.
The cone of cold nerf is also something not needed as much anymore since we have ways of dealing with freeze mage now. I dont know why undertaker is a 1/2 when it should probably be a 1/1. I wonder if blizzard plans on adding anymore basic cards in the future.
If undertaker gets nerfed it wouldn't be to a 1/1 it would most likely be nerfed to a +1/+0 and keep it in line with something like a mana wurm. But blizzard said on multiple accounts they think the card is balanced and have no intent to nerf it.
Without it, it kinda cripples deathrattle as a playstyle. The only other synergy with it at that point is baron rivendare and that is meh in most decks.

So Arcane intellect is not a card? Lay on hands? Sprint? Flare is OP, it should cost 2, for what it does and its the only card of its kind in the game. Yes the actual value of a 1/1 is zero but it also has some sort of implied value which as I have previously stated must be somewhere around half a mana crystal. At 1/2 the amount of decks that would run it is insane (Token, Miracle, Bloodlust, Freeze just to start. Its so much better then a loot hoarder as the draw is instant and 1/2 is a better body too. No hero power can kill it, statistically better then a haunted creeper according to your numbers......
Look all I'm saying is that there was a reason it was nerfed, The powers that be saw it and changed it to the shadow it is now. Rework it as a 2/2 draw a card for 3 mana, how about that?
Someone mentioned Tinkmaster Overspark - I do belive reversing that nerf would be disastrous crippling control playstyle even more, he'd become once again a must have card for any deck really cause it doesn't really matter if you change enemy's Ragnaros the Firelord or lets say Tirion Fordring into vanilla 1/1 or 5/5, value is insane.
Yes, that was the point. It was another removal card that was available to everyone. It really only had value late game. I don't understand how this "kills control" but it was a great card "IN CONTROL". I think this was another card that was just good at its job getting nerfed because of it.
Putting my two cents in on the Tinkmaster Overspark nerf Previously you chose the the minion to be changed which is understandably op! Now its all minions including your own, there have been plenty of heated debates about the reliance of RNG in this game and to me the tinkmaster nerf is a testament to that. The only safe way to play Tink is on an empty board with a lone opponents minion thats even worth to be transformed. 1. thats its extremely specific so no one plays it and 2. if you play it anyother time you too high of a risk to hurt yourself so noone plays it. I dont know if im the only one or not but I truly believe a legendary is a legendary and its ability should act and be played like a legendary in that everyone wants to play that card. changing the txt to be "change a random 'enemy' minion" will allow tink to be playable and not overpowered. also compared to The Black Knight its still not as op.

Based on quite a few different cards, "Draw a card" is valued at 1 mana and "Draw x cards" is valued at 1+2(x-1) mana. This fits most of the unconditional card draw spells and minions.
I mean this is a digital card game... I don't understand why Blizzard does not take the opportunity/advantage to change cards around to keep the game a bit fresh. I understand the concept of needing to have some bad cards in a game, but do the same cards always have to be bad? I also think they should increase the level cap in future expansions for heroes and add more basic cards.
Fun fact... millhouse mana storm used to be viable in the alpha. He was a 2/2 minion that summoned a mega spell. Now he is the bane of all legendaries.

some cards that i thin k did not needed nerfs even in beta are :
lorewalker cho! 1/4 is completely fair! instead of todays 0/4.
capitan parrot 1/2 is mroe logical than the 1/1 we got now.....
dalaran amge is useles everywhere at 2/4 it was not the strongest card but at least a viable 3 drop!!
for the rest they are fine... you do not want to see again novice..

Captain's Parrot from 1/2 to 1/1 (ಠ_ಠ) and Lorewalker Cho from 1/4 to 0/4, because "it was TOO GOOD," in the words of Kripp.
3x Legend | 2 Gold Heroes
Exactly... I was running those cards in every deck before the nerf....
