Because I don't care to review pack fillers or cards that I don't think will see play, here are the cards I DO think will see play in whatever meta arises from the introduction of the new cards tomorrow.
Opinion: Surely this card will see play in some kind of deck because it offers such a powerful effect. Whether that deck be derived from this expansion or the next, this card will definitely see play in a tier 1 or 2 deck eventually
Opinion: Such a unique effect offers a lot of unique Shaman decks in the future. However, the usage of this card won't be niche. There are many battlecries that don't target anything at all and only benefit the user. With so many battlecries that are powerful, I feel like this card will definitely eventually find usage in a tier 1 or 2 deck.
Opinion: Very very powerful late game clear that I feel will be an auto-include in any Control Warlock deck. The powerlevel of this card is unrivaled by basically any other boardclear. It's basically a Flamestrike with a 4/4 body. This card can cause HUGE swings in games and will definitely keep Warlock in the meta for a while almost by itself. It will definitely see play in a tier 1 deck.
Opinion: Could definitely see play in some kind of Hunter deck. Hunter has a lot of great even costing cards and being able to use your hero power virtually every single turn is extremely powerful in a face Hunter deck. Aggro requires that you do damage to your opponent every single turn, and a 1 mana deal 2 damage ensures that you will be poking your opponent down, forcing their hand in trying to stop you. Decks that lack heal will definitely suffer, but as long as Cubelock dominates the meta, this kind of deck will stay in the 2nd and 3rd tiers. However, this card could always see play elsewhere due to its unique effect, and I am excited to see what people will do with it.
Opinion: Yes, very simple. Yes, it could definitely be an Epic Card instead. Yes, I still think it's great. 4/3 with divine shield for 4 mana along with an effect that can regenerate the shield could be very very powerful if given the right tools. While Paladin might not have the necessary cards to be able to activate such a strong effect, future expansions may provide those tools and make this an auto-include in basically every single Paladin deck there is. At the same time, I'm not sure if Paladin will be very strong in this meta with so many good cards that were core to its primary decks, but in time Paladin will again rise to the top and when it does this card will be featured as a mainstay in many of those decks.
Opinion: This card is flexible, it generates cards, it will thrive eventually. I love this card even though its Chromaggus 2.0. However, it is definitely better than Chromaggus because the 2 mana cost allows you to easily integrate draw into the same turn you play it. With most draws coming in at 2 mana, a turn 4 play where this combos with Book of Specters could offer immense value and a ton of fuel to the fire that is Elemental Mage. The biggest issue Elemental decks suffer from is the lack of card draw and resources necessary to utilize their Elementals to the best of their abilities. This card offers an easy solution to that issue and because of that I see potential for it to be featured in some great Mage decks.
Opinion: I hesitate to put this on here because I'm not sure how great its effect really is, but honestly I don't see how it won't at least reserve a spot in a Priest deck as a replacement for a Northshire Cleric. It offers information about the opponent's hand as well as potential card generation. Knowing what your opponent has allows you to play in a way that could be quite frustrating for your opponent. At the same time, there is no way for your opponent to know that you can see what's in their hand, which makes the card even better. This is a well designed card that taps into the cerebral aspect of Hearthstone in an interesting way.
If I'm missing one that you think should be on this list let me know. If I have one on here that shouldn't be on here, let me know. I love discussion about cards.
