May your days be salty, and your nights bitter! :D
Very good. Best case is killing a Possessed Lackey obviously, but you can also use it to help arranging a good defile, and worst case, you just target the 2 damage at your own face.
So, after all those times where I accidentally hit my Hero with a Fireball, here is a card that gives me cause to hit my Hero on purpose. With all the self-damage synergies Warlocks have access to now, there is a decent chance this will see use.
I like that it's called Dark Possession...with art of a gnome being possessed/sacrificed...because quite often you'll be using this on Possessed Lackey.
Looks like this will be taking up Mistress of Mixtures' 1 mana slot, however losing Mixtress' 8 healing for another 4 self-inflicted damage will be noticable.
Before I go to bed, I want to say the following thing:
People, get over your PTSD (sorry for the insult, but you are really overreacting), this will never be good in cubelock. You are overseeing a major thing:
1) There is a big chance that the spell will whiff. While there are a few demons, which will be good to get from this spell, the chances of getting average or below average ones are bigger. Here is a list of the demons in standard (exclude those, which will rotate out) + that Witchwood Imp. I'm too tired to do the math, but look how many bad demons can come out of that spell. And you will never want to get them from your DK, especially when you face control. Since N'Zoth is rotating out, cubelock can't produce much value. They will try to get bunch of Doomguards from the DK, but the Voidwalkers from the Voidlords and the possible bad demons from the spell will narrow down the chances of getting burst. Cubelocks tend to draw very aggressively - stop the Doomguard-wave and win by fatiguing them.
2) Not all demons are good in every situation. Doomguard will be a crucial reward, if you get him from the spell against slow decks, but not against aggro. Or defensive demons against control. The point is - the list of useful demons becomes even more narrowed in the specific MU.
3) Don't assume, that you will always have the weapon in stored (especially against aggro). That arch-type can give the warlock player a hard time, if their build is greedy. The warlock can discover a Voidlord against them, but if they can't cheat it out, then that's a dead card. Obviously you will want to get something cheaper in that scenario, but then why run the spell in the first place?
Tl; dr - There a lot of factors, which go around this spell. Don't look only at the positive sides. You won't only get Doomguard or Voidlord from it and you won't always have the weapon in play.
The only good applications of this spell is the Spellstone buff, eventually the chances of getting some value (but in an ordinary deck). About Possessed Lackey - I think that the last thing cubelock needs is to dilute their decks with situational cards.
I fear this card is going to be far too good and it seems it's just more support for cubelock which doesn't really need anymore help right now, will be another way to kill the possessed lackey aswell. lol
I don't even care if this would be playable or not (a good card though), I just hope I loot a golden version in my packs. The animation must be stunning.
This card is really good! It is really flexible and cheap. Ya it takes down the lackey but I mean since it can target friendly characters, you can even target your own face and charge your spellstone. Cubelock getting a bit better?
Pop your lackey/ voidcaller , get a demon for skull / voidcaller , upgrade your spellstone if you need to. THIS CARD IS INSANE. I feel like they printed 4 trash neutral and a few bad warlock demons to compensate for this card being insane. Staple in most current warlock decks. Might even see play in wild egg zoo.
yaaay more people whining about cubelock :D

with some of the lackluster demons leaving the quality of this effect is pretty high.
AZARI???

''Deals 2 damage to a friendly character. Discover ...''
Really like the wording here, making it more flexible and even better!
That's one to have golden <3

Just my two cents.

Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.
'Summoning Ritual' would've fit better.
I was about to pull the trigger on the preorder until I saw this card.
So Blizzard thinks Cubelock needs a buff. Really? Do they even play this game?
Meh...I’ll stick to my free packs.

More Void lords ?
Just because lackey has 2 health so people think an arcane shot (with upside discover) is OP ?
I'm not saying this is bad card but see people here overacting really annoy me

With this card i really hope they BUFF Possessed Lackey. For example to a 2/3...
Just when you thought Warlock had no weaknesses...
There's so many good Warlock cards their big problem is finding room for everything.
I can't believe they printed this thing.
English isn't my first language, so please excuse any mistakes.
