When you compare it to Twilight Guardian, it's three mana more for +1/+5 and not even a dragon. That doesn't mean it is bad. I think it'll be a fine one of in some dragon decks.

That's only because the competitive Druid archetypes - Jade Druid and Big Druid - had better options and better synergy. Some of those things are rotating to Wild (with Jade Druid, the entire thing is leaving), so Ancient of War could indeed see more play, as it's a pretty solid card.
