Maexxna was never played and was even considered an utter trash card. I can't imagine that this will see any play. Attack means next to nothing nothing on Poisonous and for 1 less health for 1 less mana + a condition for poisonous it just seems too bad.
Alright....but why though? Dragon hunter is not going to be a thing and this just seems too slow. Although, 3/7 for 5 is an amazing statline. Maybe I'm underestimating how difficult it will be to get this off the board, but for now I'm not convinced.
You can't compare it to Maexxna. She came in late and Hunter had better options at that time, also Hunter was primarily aggro. Hyper aggro even.
This time around Hunter will have mid-range, control and OTK decks. This card can see play in them. Although, it will be difficult to add. But in QH or CH, where you lack board presence mid-game, this one is a great option.
It should see play. But Warlocks will easily remove it. So it's questionable.
This is by far the beefiest Poisonous minion in the game. It can also trigger Dragon synergies.
Poisonous cards have proven powerful, but usually too slow and situational to use, so it is nice that it has uses as a Dragon and as a decent strength minion in addition to its potential to gain Poisonous. I worry that it is too late for Dragons without Netherspite Historian, but I would be willing to look at Dragons for Hunters if better cards get printed in future expansions.
