Looks like an azure drake for mage to me. Toss the +1 spell damage and give it +1/+1, all you have to do is drop a water elemental on 4 which is still a beast. I like this card, pretty solid for mages.
You play this in turn 5 and draw a card in best case scenario, your opponent put a Doomguard in play for free, kill your elemental, play cube + pact and get x2 5/7 charge in your face, what a single draw will help you?
There is a reason midrange decks vanished out of the existence and the deck killed all of them will still around without any contender.
As long warlock cards remain untouched give up any midrange deck, if nerfed (VERY HARD NERFED!!!) this card and many others can see play.
If you are playing an elemental deck, you dont just have a 5/5 on turn 5, you probably have complete board control. Elementals are tough. Strong midrange minions that crush Kobold librarians and stuff like that, and stay alive to kill the Doomguard. I have played a ton of elemental mage, and I have beaten the greediest of warlock decks. If you put in the mix stuff like Archmage Arugal and Book of Specters trust me, warlocks will have a hard time.
it's just a good card for elemental mage. elemental mage currently suffers from not having enough good 3 mana elementals it has only tar creeper is there, with this and the book of scepters and Archmage Arugal maybe elemental mage can be a thing( when I say a thing I mean it will be good enough for tournaments and high ladder ) with Ice Block, Kabal lackey and Kabal Crystal Runner, this might replace secret mage as the tempo mage deck.
It might be worth it to jam in 2x Fire Fly and Water Elemental in every mage deck for this card alone. Azure Drake is very powerful in mage, and that +1+1 is worth more than the spell damage imo.

I really want to be wrong in this one, wish the old golds listen to you.
Meh, I can't believe how some people rate this minion really high. I played a lot of elemental decks in the past (especially in Un'Goro) and let me tell you one thing - breaking the chain and then trying to activate the elementals again feels really bad. This is no exception and the pay-off is not really worth it - 5 mana 5/5 body with a conditional card draw bonus. Dunno for you guys, but I prefer to have card draws on cheaper minions, so that I can plan my future turns better or/and to be more flexile in the early-game.
It just pales compared to Azure Drake. Yes, while the drake has -1/-1 in stats, the draw is secure and you also get to inflict more damage with your spells. If the drake lives, then it will cause some serious damage (with your burn/defensive spells), while the elemental is just a plain 5/5 body.
[edit] The problem with elemental decks is that there is no real synergy. They just activate each other for future turns and that's pretty much it. They don't buff (except Ozruk, the non-elemental minions) and they don't interact with each other while on the board. The dragon synergy is way more profitable than this one. Imho there should be a card, with forms a a good elemental package. Something, which combines the different deck-strategies with the elementals. The same way Patches was the missing link between pirates and aggro/tempo decks, now we need a link for the elemental tribe as well. Jaina is a good start, but I'm talking about something in the early/mid game.
This card is exactly what odd elemental mage needed. Still needs an odd cost spell to help synergyize with Black Cat (the only real options right now are Flamestrike and Explosive Runes), but there's going to be lots of card draw in this deck.

Elemental decks were too weak for two reasons: not enough pressure for a tempo deck and not enough value for long game control. Will this be fixed? We will see...
I really like this card, plus it's pushing an elemental mage archetype, whether it'll be good or not I dunno, but will have some fun experimenting with it either way.

Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.
It's not a bad card and I see where they are going, just a little disappointed that this is the archetype they chose to push with mage. I guess at least it's something.

i hope this arche doesnt catch on, because its going to get real expansive for me to make it.

Good card and i like it is a rare when there are way worse epics in this set.
I am Shaman, Master of Elements! I can bend the elementals to my... to my... You know fuck it. Who loves random fucking spells?!

Support for Odd mage!
Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer

(5) mana 5/5, with conditional draw a card?!
Where do I sign in
"What have you got there,
PinocchioMalygos?"This and Toki proves how broken Drakonid Operative is... at least Blizzard is getting better at creating balanced cards

It’s an ok card. Might see play in ele mage but whether the archetype works at all we will still have to see.
This card is getting a bit overrated.
Card draw isn't really the problem in Elemental Mage. Lacking impact tempo plays IS.
The card draw and legendary only really help if more powerful tempo based elemental minions are released.
Drawing a bunch of fireflies or tar creepers isn't a winning strategy and I'm not sure a generic tagged 3/4 is going to be strong enough.
With that said, this deck is probably two good tempo minions away from being viable. If not this expansion it'll probably happen soon.
The big problem is.. how does an elemental Mage ever beat Cubelock? Ever?
I believe that yes, I love Dark Souls 3
