This one has 1 more health than Baron Geddon and doesn't damage your face and make you lose your precious armor. Baron Geddon damages your own minions while this one requires a condition to activate. Tough choice - I think I'll go with neither :)
Pretty bad compared to other options today. Works well for a control class with cheap low damage aoe that wants to keep the board clean. Fits in control Warrior and maybe in rogue since no other AOE.
Warrior: you have pretty much nothing on your side, you opponent has a few minions. You WW then drop this. You end up with a 6/6 on the board and deal 3 damage to all enemies. And friends if you have them. You can use Warpath for similar results but in this case you get a body.
Priest: you can heal other minions to keep them from getting munched.
Paladin: Divine Shield minions, assuming more come down the tubes. Of course, if more paladin healing support is going to be revealed (as suggested, but not promised, by The Glass Knight) maybe this will be good.
They're really putting a lot of emphasis on board clears for this expansion, with the rush minions and cards like this. Mana cost seems high, but this could be used to clean up the board ala Despicable Dreadlord, though this affects your side of the board too.
A lot of people keep mentioning geddon, but this HAS THE ABILITY TO IGNORE YOUR OWN BOARD. It’s one sided when possible, and that’s a real plus over geddon.
yes I agree, I was about to comment saying the same sort of thing, this can be better than geddon because if you play it right you'll only damage your opponents board while keeping yours in tact, where as geddon does 2 dmg to everything, including faces.

Seems like a generally worse Baron Geddon, and we all know how much play that card sees. You can make it hit only your opponent's board, but that's tricky for most decks (you need 1-sided AoE for 3 or less mana) and is generally a 10-ish mana combo. When you're at that mana cost, you really need effects that win you the game almost on the spot, and this is not that.
Pretty much the only reason I'd use this card is if I wanted MORE baron geddon/drake effects. Idk why I'd want 5. But hey, I guess the option is there now. And drake will rotate eventually.
Well controversial card most likely an alternative version of Baron Geddon with baron geddon you cannot control who he will deal 2 damage but with this you can control it so this is more flexible tho still weaker because this is conditional while Geddon will deal 2 damage to all minions no matter what.
I find amazing that most people here are terrible at evaluating cards.
Baron Geddon is a terrible comparision, Geddon does not see play because it damages your hero, which is exactly what you don't want against a aggro deck and it damages your minions unconditionally. This is much alike Despicable Dreadlord, a midrange card that can be dropped on any board may or may not have value and has to be dealt with.
Synergizes well with a lot of things especially Despicable Dreadlord himself for a 3 damage one sided AoE per turn. Still unsure if it would see play, the tools are there.
I feel like Barron Gedon is better overall and that card sees VERY little play.
Sure this card won't damage your own undamaged minions but having to damage your opponents' minions to trigger the effect is a bigger drawback than not damaging your own undamaged minions is a bonus.

I actually like this in several classes. Seems like overkill in Warrior.

Well if only this card is a 7/7 then it is better thab Geddon. But 66 is not good enough
Reminds me of Sleep with the Fishes
I can see a few scenarios where this is good:

Cant even deal with a dude pally style of board, not seeing this see play unless somehow the meta is mid range board centric, then it could be good.
I like it. Maybe a bit conditional, but I'm happy to see minions, which interact with the board.
Curious to see how competitive this turns out to be.
