Very cool! with Stand Against Darkness rotating out, and most other board flooding cards like Call to Arms and Lost in the Jungle cheap as hell and usually played on curve, I'm SURE this 8 drop weapon will be downright meta defining.
It's not really meta defining, since you gotta have a board for this to work, and if you have a good board on T8 as a Paladin, you've basically already won the game.
I don't think my sarcasm could've been more obvious lol.
One of the hidden Gems of Hearthstone for Wild. While yes, i would normally write this card off; it's a fricking 8 mana 3/4 and you don't want to have 2 in your deck, ever. But 1 off is different: In Wild, Dude-Paladin have quick ways to recover their board presence, but you only have 1 sunkeeper Tarim. And especially against some classes you more often need to use it as a defense-mechanism than for burst-damage. With this, you can quickly restock your board with a bit more dangerous minions and avoid many 1 damage-aoes that are quite common.
It is by far not a 5 star card, but it might be on the edge to be good enough to consider using it there. Having this as an extra oomph, especially with the new card shown today seems quite interesting. But i can't see ever been played more than 1 of it.
Here’s a thought: I know it seems like a win more card, but might it also be a “turn the board around” card?
In a close game, both you and your opponent have some minions on the board, you drop this, get some unexpected favorable trades, swipe and minion then go face a few times, and you either claw your way back into it or eek out a win.
Yes, it’s damn slow. Yes, I wish it had 4 attack. I’m not saying it’s a great card, but if I recall, many people wrote Vinecleaver off at the start. I’m just wond ring if it’s too slow in the upcoming meta...?
8 mana give your opponent 3/4 cards, armor or do nothing.
