If auctioneer+ unstable evolution didnt see play, this won't either. Sure it has better stats, but you won't really draw much with this the turn you play it, and on t10 the 4/8 stat is not that hard to remove.
I hope Fen Creeper, Bog Creeper, Moat Lurker, and Loatheb get the Elemental tribe. It already bugged me how Ixlid has it while the others don't (yeah, I know Blizzard handwaved that by saying he's actually a mossy Earth Elemental, but that's dumb and you're dumb and your face is dumb).
Seems like a really powerful card "infinite" draw engines have proven to be very powerful, shaman has a lot of cheap spells and a lot of spell generators were added this expansion..
Seems slow. What makes Auctioneer so good is that you can draw into cards that can draw you more cards whereas this only draws minions and doesn't add fuel to the fire
Shaman has lack of card draw (Mana tide totem sucks as the meta goes fast) and this card is the only hope for the shaman to have his cards drawn. Bad damage but has good health for being a 7-cost minion, this is also a good combination with Hagatha.
Let's say your hero power gives you low-cost spells and you don't like it, you can use it with Bogshaper and get a minion instead of another spell (Now you see... totemic might is actually a good card now). This card is totally not meta-defining, but it's the only great card draw engine for shaman!

But Hagatha shaman is not a miracle deck, which need to cycle over all its deck to get that coldbloods, saps and evises as fast as possible.
As for value play this is a great card, you can dump your cheap totem spells you received from hagatha to draw several minions from your deck. Definetely will see as "one of" in Hagatha deck.
In Dreamland: "this card seems pretty good"; now let's get back to realistic-land: This is a 7 mana 4/8 that does NOTHING on it's own. Every minion after 6 mana needs to have an immediate impact on the board. 7 is far too slow, even compared to the nerfed auctioneer that is still far better than this card.
This card is ANTI-TEMPO. And in Hearthstone Tempo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Value
If you survive playing this minion on turn 7 or with 1-2 spells at 8/9, then you might have won the game already. But a 4/8 without taunt, that has no impact on the board will NEVER work out on it's own. So if shaman does NOT get a
in a miracle deck you are cycling for a win condition. The stats on the card matter less in that situation than both the cards you can draw and the next turns you can set up.
I don't think this will see play at all, shaman does not have the win condition for it.
Paladin was wayward until they got the one man win condition in Tarim. Hagatha is not that card, it will need a strong cabal of independantly strong cards, like how spiteful priest can run dragons and the talonpriest, cards on their own have a strong power level that can push tempo. It will take such a god powered type card to make these shaman builds able to compete in the meta.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
Obviously comboes nicely with the new hero card but since in this case it's turn 10+, you are already halfway through your deck and may fatigue yourself. It also doesn't affect the board the turn it's played and usually such cards see fringe play at best nowadays. In this case the card is similar to Ysera but worse as a value engine.
Auctioneer is self-fuelling in that the deck is often very spell based. This card is jarring. You’re getting minions for spells. I don’t know how efficient it is going to be unless you can get it to survive for a while.
Ya I think the Gadgetzan Auctioneer comparison is the right way to think about this card. This is primarily a card generation tool for one more mana and 4 more health. Hagatha the Witch decks will tend to be minion heavy and this, after her... or before... will be a card generation machine. The only differences are the mana/health difference AND Miracle Rogue tends to be midrange so this card might not work in the developing Shaman archetype which seems to be control centred.
While I have high hopes for this possible Hagatha elemental deck that is starting to surface, shaman needs some important pieces. Mainly, an early board clear that isn't lightning storm and a strong 2 drop that doesn't require an even deck build. It has strong mid-game but lacks early iniative and board swing capability. The latter was a more subtle key element of the powerhouse that was midrange shaman pre-MSoG. I'm not saying it should be dominant but just good enough in those areas to be good.

dunno if it will see play but it has potential.
mmmmmm......Maybe, it does have 8 health.
That being said, Loatheb, Fen Creeper and Bog Creeper aren't elementals, so why is this one an elemental?
An elemental deck works pretty well against aggro.
Wax Elemental, Tar Creeper, Hot Spring Guardian, Stone Sentinel, and Tol'vir Stoneshaper should keep you alive unless you get an extremely bad opening hand and somehow miss all your taunts.
Also Fire Plume Harbinger can reduce Bogshaper's mana cost.
We still need those great shaman spells we were promised, but it looks like this'll be part of a real deck, at least a tear 2 one
I think it is really good cause Shaman need card draw.
Why do they create odd or even and then do not give any synergy to the classes? Hagatha should have more support.

I like elementals and totems.

And Elemental tag is not consistent with Moat Lurker, Fen Creeper and Bog Creeper. I wonder if they will update them now.
I am unconvinced.

Im going to sit on the fence for now.
Wow shaman card draw our prayers have been answered. But damn thats an expensive booty.
Can work nicely with unstable evolution tho
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.

if they give shaman insane boardclear or something like that, shaman could make a comeback!
