Convert was never really used. I'd be surprised if this saw play despite having some additional damage tacked on.
Convert was strictly enemy minion. This can be used on your own minions. If we see better neutral and priest deathrattles, this could be a awesome card going forward, or at the very least some late game push with versatility to steal a powerful enemy minion. Don't sleep on this card man.
Yes but Zola was considered absolutely insane for value when she was revealed yet was barely used by most classes despite leaving the minion on the board, providing a 2/2 body AND costing only 3 mana. Triggering your own deathrattle by killing your minion has rarely been a good strategy aside from Sylvanas shenanigans or Warlocks trying to kill off their cube or lackey before it gets silenced. So in most scenarios, using this on your own minion is far worse than using a card that people already don't include in their decks. In terms of enemy targeting, it's an overpriced, conditional Convert with some damage. Hardly worth including in your deck. So in both scenarios, the card isn't very good. Versatility is nice but not when both options still are pretty lame. I will choose to sleep on this regardless of the poll being highly favoured toward playable or good. I don't think this will see any play at all in competitive decks. Could I be wrong? Sure. But I think people are highly overrating this.
People are overrating so many cards from this expansion.
Can you elaborate? Why don't you think this card is as good as people think?
This is deal 4 damage to a minion for 3 mana added onto a conditional Convert. Nobody played Convert. Deal 4 damage to a minion for 3 mana is just below average value (because no face damage). So it's an underpowered combo of a conditional version (need to kill) of a card that never saw play. It's also a HUGE tempo loss. You're going to waste turn 5 or 6 to kill a single <=4 health minion and add nothing to the board?

This also assumes I've done literally nothing on turns 1 thru 4? Even pure control decks usually play a minion at some point on those turns. No one played Convert because it was 2-mana "impact the board....in literally no way whatsoever." This is removal + draw a card. In control vs control matchups, this card is pretty strong, as it can provide you with additional resources. The fact that you can target your own minions means that if you're trying to complete the quest for example, you're not completely out of the water if you're running short on deathrattle minions. Vs Aggro, this is less good, but Priest has many tools.
I'm hoping we get something that gives your damaging spells Lifesteal.

Hammer of Wrath is better value removal + draw a card and never sees play. And I don't understand your point on turns 1-4. whether you have minions or not does not change the fact that this is a huge temp loss. If you're point is that you can use those minions to help ensure a kill, then fine, but its still conditional meaning there will be situations where this will be 5 mana deal 4 damage only, which is awful.
Kind of bad. It's terribly slow and hard for Priest to activate against minions with over 4 health, so I don't really see where the application is. You can easily kill low-value minions for way too much mana, and that minion may not even be very good in your deck, so it'll just sit stuck in your hand. A terrible anti-aggro card.
So the application is against control, as a way to gain value. Is this value card really better than other value cards, because Priest has a ton of access to those. I don't think it is, especially since you'd most likely have to spend an additional card (and possibly a turn) to first injure what you want to steal.
The only way I see this played is in a deck with Arcane Tyrant, to make up for the huge tempo loss.

Hammer of Wrath is a Paladin card and Paladin's also have one of the best early weapons in the game contesting for the same mana slot, so no wonder it doesn't see play. What I meant about the early turns is that you'll usually have something of a board of your own, so a 5-mana "put nothing on the board" play is less damaging. Probably this card is a 1x, but the fact that Priest has it will be annoying to play around in a control game. Imagine going Holy Water on something like Voidlord into Coffin Crasher T6 that pulls out the Voidlord for free.

So this card is good, in your opinion because IF you are 1) facing cubelock 2) your opponent gets possessed lackey>dark pact>voidlord on turn six 3) You have something on the board that can do exactly 5-8 damage to that voidlord and 4) you have this new card AND coffin crasher in your in your hand, you can 5) play coffin crasher on turn 7 (not six), and when it dies (on turn 8) you get a free voidlord?
Yes I am saying this card is game-breaking, meta defining because of that one (and mind you, ONLY) application. I will auto include 2x and Shadow Visions two more just to be able to get a free Voidlord. Rank 1 legend here I come!
I really hope they change the text of the card to be more accurate. "Deal 4 damage to Voidlord. If it kills it, add a copy to your hand and draw Coffin Crasher at the start of your next turn."
LIT-ER-AL-LY the one and only use for this card. Yep. Only use.
edit: Use your imagination. This card has many uses. Like many in WW, it's an open-ended "okay most of the time, good some of the time, really good if" card.

It has good uses that are far outweighed by the times this will just be an expensive mediocre removal.

This card, much like Entomb, will wreck control lists and usher in a new age of aggro decks just to not have to deal with this card. I hate this card already.

I disagree. Alone, this doesn't actually kill that much that you want to steal, and does trigger deathrattles. This doesn't fit in control. This fits best in a midrange-y tempo-y deck with solid board presence, which would be dragon priest.. but that wants synergies, and is losing a lot fo core to rotation, so we'll have to see if it gets good replacements.
And I disagree with this. Much like you have to play around your minions having 1 health vs Control Mage, you'll have to play around your minions having 4 or less health vs a Priest who has this in hand. Maybe not as punishing, but it will still be a consideration when you make trades in a control matchup.

You're all overrating this card so much, I find it genuinely confusing. It's 5 mana 4 damage (already mediocre) and SOMETIMES draw a card that is likely worse than drawing a card from your own deck, and it can't go face if need be? How is this better than Starfire, which does 1 damage more for 1 mana, has a better effect, and yet never sees play...anywhere.
Would maybe MAYBE be a one of in a Reno Priest, and given those don't even exist now, well, no. Won't see play in 2-3 months. Could well be wrong, of course, but I am definitely not seeing this crazy strong Priest card that people are complaining about. Priest doesn't exactly struggle for single target removal.
Last I checked Starfire is a Druid card and Druid has better options. This isn't 5 mana "sometimes draw a card," it's 5 mana "sometimes draw a specific card." Huge difference.

A weaker Entomb still far better than Convert tempowise. Priest is getting love again this Expansion. Poor Warrior/Druid
Amazing for arena. Remove most 1-4 costs and some 5 cost minions and adds resources to your hand.
