May have some OTK potential. Standalone it's not quite good enough, too weak on the turn it comes out and too fragile. I rate as playable for now, but may end up extremely broken in the right deck.
Pretty sure it's 6 damage, 6 healing. Two would be 12 damage and 12 healing. Not sure what math you did to get 48 healing lol
It doubles the damage, so it's 6. Then when you deal the damage it would double the heal, so it's 12. With 2 of those minions its deal 12 (double of the double (3x2x2)) and then heal for 48 (12x2x2)
You're right. I forgot that healing comes after damage with lifesteal.
I see this in a odd cards quest warrior (blizzard told this deck would be a thing, of course they are almost always wrong but still)

Clockwork automaticon + prince taldaram + ragnaros hero power = 32 damage
I know that losing 3 mana cards such as stonehill defender or tar creeper is stupid. Just showing possibillities
If you get an empty board in that stage of the game you already win with quest warrior because the hero power.
Aggro kill or concede before it is happen and control like warlock never get empty board after turn 9, the value is almost infinite, tons and tons of endless demons, even if you get all the pieces will have 1 chance in 8 this combo work vs them.
it obviously dont work for non damaging/healing hero powers, its just like the card that makes your hero power deal one extra damage, Fallen Hero, it sucks for anything but mage(its a mage card) or Hunter. it will be very good for priest and mage tho
Probably posted on here somewhere already but you can do a 32 damage OTK with hunter if you play Clockwork Automaton + Carnivorous Cube + Play Dead x2 + Hero Power. Technically it's a 14 mana combo but you can get around that either by hoping the cube or Automaton stays on board for a turn, or you can run it in wild, using two ticks of Emperor Thaurissan plus a free hero power from a previous turn due to Fencing Coach.

Yeah but odd hunter means no Emperor so it would have to be over two turns. Justicar could work. Regardless of whether you do 32 or 48 damage, it's an OTK either way on the majority of classes.
Obviously not a tempo card, good with upgraded hero powers such as warlock dk, quest warrior, baku hunter. Kind of a niche card, okay in constructed, average to below average in arena.

The ability IS lifesteal, so WHATEVER damage that hero power does to something YOU heal for it.
If there was a minion that said your hero power does 6 more damage, then you'd also heal for 6 more. Lifesteal is consistent.
