Meh, I just imagined, that the player somehow had dragon synergies, how this would be a 4 mana 5/4, which clears a minion and pushes for tempo. You are probably right, but I just didn't see another logical explanation behind this.
its fine but im just a bit sad that everytime they reveal a "bad" card everyone just goes "arena card", as if arena is just the trash pile of constructed...maybe they will just have some dragon sinergy cards hidden in the witchwood (or probably it's just a pack filler to let some dragon sinergies exists in the new standard cycle)
Some cards are good in arena and bad in constructed. It's not just a place for "bad" cards, just a certain type of card. This card isn't one of those though because it needs dragon synergy. If it didn't need the dragon synergy it would likely be an amazing arena card and a decent constructed card.
This seems like a good card. It comes into play and immediately kills something, and then the opponent has to expend some other resource to get rid of it the next turn. This seems pretty similar to Blackwing Corruptor, and there are many situations in Dragon Priest where this provides a greater turn-4 tempo gain than Duskcaller.
Considering that netherpsite historian and draknoid operative are rotating, I don’t think dragon priest will survive the rotation. Don’t think any other deck will run dragons either. So this card will probably see no play.
I like this card a lot so I voted it very good. This card has a lot of utility especially in hybrid hunter.
1. This card could protect the turn 3 Nightmare Amalgam if you haven't already drawn Houndmaster. It can also be followed up by cobalt scalebane.
2. In Highroll Recruit hunter, this card acts as 'insurance' to allow you to come back and extend the game if you draw Deathwing or Sleepy Dragon (cards you don't normally want to play from hand) or if your Dragonhatchers end up on the bottom of your deck.
I love the overall design of this card as it will provide more consistency to certain highroll decks at the expense of their power level.
The general question will be how viable dragon themed decks will be in standard after the rotation. Priest (which has been the go-to class for dragons for the last couple of years) will loose Drakonid Operative and Dragonfire Potion. In wild there are simply to many better options for dragon priests to run this card. If we see new good dragons this might be included in some decks though.
Solid midrange card. It would probably see play in current Dragon Priest lists, though the state of dragon synergy might be too bad post-expansion. I think it has a ton of potential in Wild, since many decks that has dragons and wants to run The Curator has troubles finding a good beast.
Blizzard still has not given up hope on Dragon synergies in Standard Mode even with the loss of Netherspite Historian and Drakonid Operative. I hope there are enough good Dragons printed this Year to keep Dragon synergies worthwhile.
The card itself has good value, but I am not sure if this fits any existing decks. I noticed Hunters got a new Dragon with Emeriss, so perhaps Blizzard expects this to go in a Hunter deck, where it can benefit from Beast and Dragon synergies.
Does this announce comeback of tempo dragon warrior? Besides that i see no fit for this card.
and this is a beast because uhhhh????
LOL this card is more filler than the 5 mana ooze.

Another one of those cards where I immediately went "Hey, pretty good!" only to find out everyone is pooping all over it.
You just provided examples of rotating cards that would make room for this...

So Priest is gonna be one of the classes with rush next to hunter and warrior, kinda odd..

This is a fine card. It'll be played in Spiteful Priest decks. B/c that deck needs some dragons.

I like this card for my Tempo Dragon Warrior in wild. I think it will be decent there.
