Somebody should tell Blizzard that it's ok to print good cards for Rogue.

If Priest can be given Duskbreaker without worrying that they would break the game, then Rogue can be given a 2 mana 3 damage to minion gain a coin or 3 mana 3 damage to enemy gain a coin.

As it is now, it's overcosted for its effect. Funny how Blizzard treads so carefully when designing new Rogue cards with them almost always being overcosted or having weak bodies and then they went ahead and gave Priests Hellfire on a 3/3 body.

Card should read "invest 2 mana this turn, gain one mana later"

at first sight it seems bad but remember the fact that rogue turns are spikey as hell - so if some synergy is found in other announced cards it might find a home - especially if the meta has a lot of 3 health minions.

Just think about it this way. OTK paladin would have played this if it were a paladin card. It may be (really) bad, but it may also be the only option to achieve a certain combo now that both Tomb Pillager and Counterfeit Coin are in wild.

3 mana deal 3 damage IF IT kills, if it doesnt kill it it's 4 mana deal 3 damage. This card is fucking garbage, should be lesser than common.

If the coin were guaranteed I'd think this would be pretty solid, or if it were one less mana.

 It doesn't really make sense to compare cards across classes like that. Common mistake.
As we have seen from many cards, gaining a coin can be really powerful in rogue.
In hunter or paladin, this card would probably be utter trash, but in rogue, it might just be good enough to see play.

 Be it as it may I still think it is too expensive to justify playing (exept maybe in some kind of combo OTK deck, but even than...)

However I would gladly be proven wrong.

 Yes they do suck on their own, you are correct but then again they are made like that on purpose so you have to run the Miracle style. I do agree that it sucks to be forced on to some style of play but imo Rogue is to be played like that, combo style, if you want other types u have other classes, plus they introduced Kingsbane that shall create a new type of Rogue given its time, i mean there is Mill Rogue, but Coldlight is rotating

OTK pally is a bad example because it is the extreme case where you can win on the spot thanks to coins, which isn't true anywhere in rogue.

That being said, you are right in that a good analysis of this card requires knowledge of the rest of the set, and it is possible there is a card that raises the power of coins enough to make WANTED! wanted.
