Cube isn't a problem card, and your nerf would kill the card. So no?
Your issue is probably cubelock, and the problem cards in that deck are lackey skull and dark pact.
Posts like this are ignorant because they forget that Cube is a neutral card that will be around for quite a while. Cube can be used in other decks too. It's a very interesting card and you just want to kill it completely because cubelock exists. Why not hit warlock cards? Would you of nerfed kazakus because of Raza priest? It just makes no sense dude.
I hate most nerf threads in general but this one is really bad. Just don't hit neutral cards unless they are becoming a force in the general meta for most decks (see patches and bonemare and creeper)
That would make the deathrattle be "Deathrattle: lol what deathrattle?" because why kill a 4/6 if it's just going to spawn two 5/7s with charge or two Voidlords?

But he is right... we have nerf threads left and right on the forum. we should make a subsection just for that. and if you want constructive feedback... Just make it so it can't be target by spells, problem solved
They are also equal offenders in Wild but at the present time Naga Sea Witch is the largest offender.

I assume you mean can't and that's a bad and pretty random solution that doesn't make much sense. You know silence is a target spell too. You shouldn't just randomly throw elusive onto cube to nerf it.
LIke I said, that deck is a meme deck, not a competitive one. And just like Liam3Bucks said, the issue doesn't lie on Carnivorous Cube, but on the cheating out large minions aspect of Warlock. And even then, considering how the meta is shifting towards a Combo Priest meta (which beats Cubelock), said issue is not impossible to deal with.
Waiting for someone to try to direct someone to the 'nerf thread' as if it's a real thing like the salt thread...
On topic, the cube isn't the problem, it's what it eats, like others have said.
Constructively: This is why 'the nerf thread' can't work, because unlike a salty post, nerf proposals usually spawn discussion. How would people identify and know what nerf was being referenced? Quoting everything? Not really viable, even if some people really enjoy text walls.
I am not typically interested in fan-made nerfs, however this does seem to be fair compromise. Unfortunately, I do not think a nerf like this is very high on their priorities, because they've made it clear they intend for certain cards to be far above, and others to be far below the mean power level.

Yah mean can't :D And it was just a random solution in respond to OP thinking that activating with Dark Pact is a problem. As other here have said, and I agree, Cube is not the problem in itself. And nerfing it would just make us use 2 other cards in an abusive combo
A very simple nerf for Carnivorous Cube would be to change its Deathrattle to:
Deathrattle: If its your opponents turn, summon two copies of it (target of the battlecry)
This would stop the oppressive and non-interactive combo with Dark Pact. Carnivorous Cube would still be VERY playable but not out right abusive.
Thoughts?
,,Non-interactive,, ... People have started throwing that word around whenever they don't like some deck...What about that combo is non-interactive? In Cubelock you use that on Voidlords/Doomguards and normally there are 2 ways to have those minions on board... 1) Possessed Lackey --> Dark Pact which takes 6 mana so you can't do the combo on the same turn ( Your opponent has a turn to INTERACT with it) . 2) Skull of the Man'ari which pulls the minions next turn for you to Cube...but your opponent can INTERACT with it by destroying the weapon on their turn. And ofc without those 2 ways you can't both play the 9 mana Voidlord / 5 mana Doomguard and the 6 mana combo .
Oppressive is also false because it doesn't have the highest winrate. Also it's not that common. I see warlock maybe 1 in 8 games or something. Paladin and Priest are pretty much every 3rd game or so. I was playing Dude Paladin ( without Spellbreakers even ) this season to rank 5 and it was a smooth climb. No problems , even if Dude Paladin has like 30% win rate against Warlock.
On the subject of your nerf proposal...You might as well remove the card from the game. Do you know why Carnivorous Cube is played only in Warlock? Because of Dark Pact. If you can't kill it on your turn to prevent Spellbreaker / Transform effects it's just not worth the risk to play it. There are some other non-meta decks that also play it...And guess what? Those also kill it on their turn instantly ( Feign Death / Deathwing ).
I normally don't even respond to ,,nerf cubelock,, threads anymore...People just will not grasp that it's a strong but counterable deck that also takes skill to pilot. It's nowhere near the ( power / feels bad to play against ) level that any other deck that Blizzard nerfed was. The only reason I responded here is because the ,,non-interactive,, part triggered me that much xD.
Why nerf Deathrattle Control Hunter? You must be Kidding, terrible nerf because it utterly destroys a Deck your not aiming at. and No Cube is fine. Give Domguard rush and reduce discard by 1.

No. Enough with the stupid nerf threads...

Carnivorous Cube is fine. The problem is the cheap ways to cheat out large minions. (Possessed Lackey and/or Skull of the Man'ari.)
That would make the deathrattle be "Deathrattle: lol what deathrattle?" because why kill a 4/6 if it's just going to spawn two 5/7s with charge or two Voidlords?

Carnivorous Cube is not the problem (although I would love a nerf for 3.2k dust refund). The issues are Possessed Lackey primarily and skull of the Man'ari & Dark Pact on a secondary level at least for standard.
They are also equal offenders in Wild but at the present time Naga Sea Witch is the largest offender.
You have misidentified the problem. The cube is fine. The problems are charge (as always) and recruit.

Carnivorous Cube is a meme deck in Hunter where a similar card to Dark Pact exists (Play Dead). In fact, Play Dead is arguably better than Dark Pact as it adds on the great value Carnivorous Cube offers instead of killing the Cube.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
The easiest fix might be to make Dark Pact only able to target minions of casting cost 4 or less.

Change Doomguard to Rush or HOF it. That's the real target.
