Dude paladin is bonkers with this card. If you have the board assured for next turn you buff and win the game 90% of the times. And you have infinite card draw with divine favor.
The card is bad only vs other aggro-minion focused decks. But Pala is the king of aggro thanks to call to arms.
didn't know Loatheb was a PALADIN,never see n him carrying a hammer and heavy armor around casting buffs and divine shields but maybe that's just me,MAYBE. (blizzard make this neutral, plz)
This seems fairly bad in Arena. Spells are not nearly as common, and if you don't have a board or your opponent doesn't have a spell this does literally nothing. Best case scenario you are delaying the inevitable.
this basically makes lothes a 3 mana 5/5 with the battlecry costing 2, I could see the developers thinking of making this 1 mana but then it would be overpowered.
idk about you but that seems off...

Kobolds are almost as bad as goblins, they gotta die (⌐■_■)–︻╦╤─
Warlock:....Drops voidlord and laughs uncontroably.
Paladin: concedes
I don’t get why Paladin a class which is already good getting such a strong power card that literally can change the outcome of the game .It would have been fine if it was for hunter or shaman but paladin !? Srsly ..
I don't think it does much in an aggro game. Against Control? Sure it can grant you that turn 5 win. Making it so that Warlock cannot throw a lackey and heal for 8. Essentially, it's for that exact situation. A counter to Blizzard, Quest mage, Dark Pact, and Secret / spell decks.
Good card against control, another dead card in aggro.

*fixed*
How inb4 it’s turn 9 the warlock is already dead.
You do realize that this is highly unlikely considering the matchup right?
I voted meta defining, not because this is OP, but because it will force the meta to move a away from non-interactive spell-based control and more toward minion-based control. IMO, that's a REALLY good thing. If you're complaining that you can just wipe the board with a spell every turn, try adding more defensive minions to your deck, like that fancy new 4/5 heal taunt.
Oh whats that? He plays Sunkeeper Tarim and i am beyond fucked? Well, who would have seen that coming?
Sorry, but playing minions against paladin just does not work. They generate way more stuff than you, and have synergies that snowball really heavily. Keeping their board clean is the only thing you can do to not just die.
Unless of course i have been rickrolled, in which case i applaud and add a /s to your post.
How did pally play this and call to arms on turn 4?
I don't think people get how big of a temp loss this card can be. All I'm saying is that (hopefully) this will cause some control decks to swap out a couple spells for minions. Warlock can't simply skate on 2x defile and 2x Hellfire anymore.
This will possibly be a board protector in the turn before the lethal. Good thing it is common. I would be mad to see the Loatheb's spell as an epic card.
Horrible card. Not going to see any play. People are concentrating on just potential good turns, this card will be useless in most cases. Imagine the mirror, this card would be a dead draw 99 % of the time.
Loatheb was attached to a 5/5 body. 5 mana 5/5 have an addional effect is great. 2 mana spell do nothing a lot of the time is terrible. Ask the countless spells which have the same effect as a minion, nobody played them.
This card let you pull the Call to Arms before your mirror by blocking their use of coin and/or CtA. If you played a lot of aggro paladin games you know that the first man pulling CtA (t3 or 4) often wins.
Looks good on paper protecting your board, but having this clog up your hand early will make it harder to build a board. maybe if you play it alongside Call to Arms itll work, but otherwise I have severe doubts. i'll vote playable for now.
Mhm, feel the same. But this isn't just good against AoEs - everything related to a spell is being blocked (heals; minion summoning spells Eternal Servitude, draws etc). The opponent is just being locked and can't do anything to prevent it. I think, that this at 2 mana is way too cheap. Everyone can make a threatening board and squeeze in this card for the remaining mana cristals, so that they will finish off the opponent. Not just aggro, but everything featuring Divine Favor. Even control and combo decks would consider running this card, in order to protect their board/themselves more. Imagine playing this against token dudu - you deny their turn 5 Living Mana or a possible Savage Roar lethal.
Do you want to start a bet? - how fast, do you think, that people will start filling this thread with posts about this being busted and crying for a nerf. I think, that 15 minutes into the expansion and the users will become active in the salty thread.
Amm, I didn't even mention Loatheb. Unlike others I don't think, that this is weak in comparison to him just because the pala card doesn't have a body. It's the opposite imho, because as you said 1) it's cheap, 2) you can put more copies in your deck and increase your chances in drawing one of them and screwing the opponent early on. Turn 4/5 lethals are back in the game.
Anyway, let's continue the game. You are betting on 2 hours, I'm on 15 mins and Ndy19 on 10. Anyone else?

Personally i think this is going to be included in most Pally decks. It provides so much security
Please don't tell my girlfriend about my card collection...
No effect on Duskbreaker.

Not meta defining. But good.
Great in dude pala, no fear of board clear.
Unpickable in arena and extremely niche in constructed. Blizzard might be scared of printing good spells for Paladin after the Steed and CtA fiascos.
Good Luck if aggro pala has a board you can't clear.

That's Incredible!
The main weakness of aggro is that it is supposed to run out of things to do late game right?
Call to Arms, Divine Favor, Rebuke

Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP
Now I can play Millhouse Manastorm!!!
(I realize I still can't play Millhouse Manastorm)
