I'm going to go ahead and say that this is the most overrated card it Hearthstone history. Maybe even the worst card itself.
Come on now, you can't truly believe that it's the worst card in hearthstone history. Unless you've wandered out of range of your caretaker in a clinic for people with severe brain damage.
I am impressed by this card. And like many of you, I will probably cheer when I draw it at an opportune time, and curse its creation when it's used against me. However, I am quite excited to see the inclusion of more minion-based sources of damage and removal as a result of this entering the meta.
Wow, 42% meta defining XD this card isn't even that good.
2 mana do nothing in 80% of the cases, and when you do succeed using it, you don't even know (unless they "the light shall burn you" or "your soul shall suffer", you).
Played Loatheb a lot, it's not such a big deal as you guys make it to be.
Every time the most overrated of cards see 0 play, while the most mocked and ignored is meta defining saw this over and over again, been following set releases in the forums since TGT.
Vivid Nightmare is mostly ignored as of now "cause mirage caller was bad" but people forget it's a spell in a class with spell cost reduction, and conserves the attack of the minion.
WOTOG was the most hilarious in hindsight debates, I insisted C'thun buffers sucked, and everyone was like "meta defining" on every terrible vanilla C'thun buffer.

It’s different from loatheb. It can be played with 2 mana and you have the rest to generate threat.
The Loatheb comparison is ridiculous in Paladin though - there's a big difference between 2 mana and 5 mana.
So Turn 7 - Stand Against Darkness + Rebuke. Unless the opponent is a Warlock who somehow still has Defile in his hand on Turn 7 or 8 or a deck with Minion-generated removal (such as Duskbreaker), he can't do anything better than put up a taunt if he's lucky enough to have one. And if he DOES have Defile, then at least it's use takes his entire turn and the Paladin can reload on the next turn.
Turn 8 - Lightfused Stegodon - +3 atk buff - 20 damage to face. Or if unlucky and +1/+1 buff or Windfury, then it's still 10 damage to face and the opponent needs to remove the board.
Rebuke is bonkers in Dude Paladin and very good in Murloc Paladin to set up Megasaur/Tarim buffs.

You are wasting a card to do so, loatheb is a threat + this effect, if this effect is costed at 2, then loatheb is a 3 mana 5/5.
Even better a 1.5 mana 5/5 since if you play 2 cards and generate for 5 mana 5/5 in stats + this effects you need to pay 1.5 mana for drawing an additional card as base value.
Loatheb is always a good tempo play, this is not a good tempo play, unless you are against some decks and they only react via spells, and do they even HAVE to react? I mean.. you just wasted 2 mana "winning more" if you aren't winning by much this card doesn't do much even then.
This card is bad, and I now hope even more it will be dismissed as soon as week 1, such cards never actually saw play.

+1000
Of course, it's possible your opponent can clear the board with something other than a spell. But, it will require opponents to start to play carefully for just that reason. And if you catch someone off guard - they don't have Lord Godfrey at the ready, for example - this could swing the entire game.
This card is going to be amazing, unless the dominant classes are using tools other than spells to clear the board.
At a minimum, it will cause headaches for Mages and Warlocks.
Its objectively good, but in wild I would rather play loatheb most of the time. It may see play eventually there, but for now there isnt a need to have more than 1 loatheb in a deck, especially if it doesnt provide board presence.

Stand against the Darkness will rotate out, same goes for the 3mana 3/3 Divineshield for all 1 hp guys. It’s questionable if you even wanna play this card in a aggro version, you always have to consider what card do I cut for this? ( Probably it helped you getting the board in the first place)
Loatheb was super good because Miracle Rouge was all over the place. Rebuke would be a techcard at best. Without a body... well we saw what happened to the IronbeakOwl.
Those saying this is bad have never played T2 Doomsayer on an empty board. This card is fine. It's a good card that I expect to see if Control Paladin is a thing.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
This is total crap and will see 0 play. Don't get me wrong, it's a powerful card, but it's crap. This never makes the 30 card cut where you want to include this in your deckslot, to the point where I'd say the card would not see play if it was 0 mana.
Aggro basically never wants to draw this card ever unless they were already winning (and if you let Paladin have a board big enough to kill you just because of this card, it would usually mean you were being very, very greedy). Control might use it as a vs Combo tech, but it's doubtful because it has to be used on exactly the right turn, which makes it too difficult and situational to use.
People saying that the body doesn't matter need to take a good long look at Dark Conviction and Humility.
I wonder if all those who voted Meta-Defining (42.2%) or Very Good (33.5%) will suddenly change their opinion now that Lord Godfrey was revealed.
This card is polarizing for some reason. Looks insane and likely a mistake to me.
Call to Arms puts you ahead a turn or 2 and this can easily close out the game. Paladin is the class with Divine Favor after all.

This is the Gnomeferatu of this set. Not bad, but no where near as good as people think this will be.
You can save your board for a turn Iguess to set up leathal.
Would be also good against Quest mage, but it will be only in wild I guess.
Also good against Big Priest, if we will see it.
You can also slow down the Lackey + Sacrifice combo for one turn
But who will need to play board clear spells when so many minions are around to do the same thing?
I.e. Lord Godfrey, the latest lock leg reveal

So are you all basically saying to craft this in Gold because it will get nerfed.
Please don't tell my girlfriend about my card collection...

Loatheb is way better than this, sorry.
As standard-only player I don't understand the "loatheb is better" argument... I can not play Loatheb in the current standard meta.. Rebuke I can
