Some people just have no clue, this is one of the best aoe spells in the game period and this is exactly what DMH even warrior needed to be insanely strong.
Some people realy have not played this game here it seems calling this expensive or weak, just look at the sacling
4 mana 2 damage aoe = consecration anyone?! Thats a control a paladin staple card with same mana cost but also can be 6 mana 3 damage which is more damage than blizzard or 1 mana more flamestrike.
Yes this damages your own minions but hello its warrior were talking.
insanely strong card which will be staple in DMH, control warrior even warrior which i recon will be tier 3-1 so 5 Star card.
If warrior gets some cards for value lategame, I do think this is a decent card. The problem with control warrior isn't removal but a lack of "op" end game like warlock dk.
This guy gets it. If Warrior can reasonably fight control decks in the late game than this card sees guaranteed play to shore up the aggro matchup. Also this card compares VERY favorably to Call To Arms which is poised to be THE meta-defining aggro card of the next rotation. Revenge saw play in CW and I believe this card on balance to be superior to that so if there is a viable CW that isn't odds only, this sees play.
Some of you are already off to a great start by calling this something other than great. 2 mana whirlwind, 4 mana volcanic potion (with 2 different hits to break through some deathrattles), 6 mana excavated evil (with even more potential to break deathrattles), 8 mana flamestrike (even more deathrattle killing), 10 mana for a lot of AOE. All of these seem inefficient (which they are), but the flexibility really makes up for the lack of efficiency allowing you to spend only the mana you need and not force you to overkill something. This card also combines well with a number of other warrior tools and can be a situational MVP for control warrior.
It's clear that Defile is a better card. But the advantage of Warpath over defile is that you do not need a chain of dying minions.
In a vacuum warpath seems too expensive to me (akolyte + warpath is 5 mana draw 1 card), but there are so many things that can happen (synergies, lack of other removal, etc.) that I voted playable.
The strength of this card, is utility. Yes, Acolyte of Pain + Warpath is on the expensive side for instance, but this is an AoE for everything between 2 and 10 mana, depending on what you need. And you can, as opposed to the forbidden cards, control both the mana cost and play order at your whim.
I'm pretty damn sure that this is a very strong card for warrior.
It is a very strong card, great synergy with Acolyte of Pain, but it isn't a win condition, and warrior needs a reliable win condition other than "not dying" if it wants to see any real play.
If Even Warrior is a thing (or just normal fatigue deadman hand shenanigans), this would be the end of many Aggro deck especially Paladin in general. Paladin for example tries to fill the board with murloc and dude and most of Paladin's minions don't have more than 3 health. It's very likely that you can clear their whole board with just this card alone. It also play around divine shield very well. This also remind the opponent to be careful when playing acolyte of pain. It also can trigger your Armor Smith multiple times which is very crucial since you don't have the 4 armor from Tank Up. Remember you are going to spend 1 card for multiple Whrilwind effect which is very important to Warrior in general.
So many potential here. I won't under-estimate Warpath.
Warpath is worse then Defile, but I think it’s still pretty good. Control Warrior often floats a lot of mana each turn, while waiting to set up the perfect clear. This is great card, especially consider that Ravaging Ghoul and Sleep with the Fishes are both rotating. A cheap/flexible board clear is great.
Unfortunately because of whirlwind it can't cost 1 mana but at 2 mana a time I think it is unlikely to see heaps of play other than as a Whirlwind replacement. Perhaps it will be exactly this?
If you build up the play, i.e 6 mana to deal 3 damage to all minions it kind of reads as a terrible card.
Right but...it also scales with spell damage and warrior has numerous playstyles where damaging your own minion is a bonus. It's a versatile, strong card. Something warrior needs right now.
The thing is, its not so obvious that Tank up! is better than the 1 mana warrior Power for control. the Value/Mana is the same (2 for 1 or 4 for 2)
1 Mana Power can be weaved in more often while Playing cards so you get better tempo. Bakus is better when the game is stall and nobody wants to play anything.
I think it got the potential to be good, just need the right support. by itself its flexible, but expensive. So i saying it's playable, but can be really good. But i love the idea

Lmao who didn't
Regis Killbin predicted this
(Note everything within the () is actual me)
AND THE TEXT OUTSIDE "()" IS ME! THE GREAT AND MIGHTY CTHUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Class mains are warrior, rogue and mage)
That would be great if warrior will get cheap minion with "Battlecry: reduce cost of your spells by 1 on this turn"
Fair version of Defile
6 mana hellfire.

If warrior sees play, this card will see play.

I think the only way this does not see play is if Baku "tank up" Warrior becomes the vastly dominant control Warrior archetype.

May be if each time you cast this, damage increased +1 that would be a decent board clear. I find 5 potentian dmg for 10 mana as very weak.
Will see play in BIG warrior, but I highly doubt this deck will ever settle atleast in tier 2.
So it's better than Consecration. How you would evaluate consecration?

Check out my fun and innovative decks here:
Beat your opponent to a pulp with Revenant Warrior or outlast them with Demon Reno Warlock.
Maybe a Deck could look like this:
The thing is, its not so obvious that Tank up! is better than the 1 mana warrior Power for control. the Value/Mana is the same (2 for 1 or 4 for 2)
1 Mana Power can be weaved in more often while Playing cards so you get better tempo. Bakus is better when the game is stall and nobody wants to play anything.
I think this has a lot of potential.
Ravaging Ghoul will be missed... and can go Sleep with the Fishes
... as our other minions take the Warpath !
Rotface approves
"What have you got there,
PinocchioMalygos?"I think it got the potential to be good, just need the right support. by itself its flexible, but expensive. So i saying it's playable, but can be really good. But i love the idea
