I love playing with him during K&C (using the deck in my signature) and I'm looking forward to playing with him during the next expansion. I loved pulling out Ixlid, Fungal Lord and Hadronox. Sadly, Master Oakheart didn't see much play this expansion, since it was pretty slow and not reliable. However, it did see some play in Warlock, Druid and Warrior (maybe more? idk). Sadly, I think with the rotation of N'Zoth, the Corruptor, Master Oakheart decks (at the very least, the ones that I play) will be worse, though pulling 3 minions from your deck is still worth the consideration.
Though the expansion has just been announced, I'm already intrigued with an odd-Oakheart druid deck, with Baku the Mooneater and Gloom Stag. While Gloom Stag is only a 2/6 minion, people used to play Dirty Rat in their deck as a nice taunt body, and this would act the same. And played from hand, it's a better body. Baku can upgrade the Hero Power so you can deal with early game a bit better (though not a lot of 2-drops have 2 health sadly). However, this deck does give up some powerful cards like Swipe, Spreading Plague, Wild Growth, Ultimate Infestation and the recruit-4 mechanism for Druid from this expansion. Nevertheless, I think it's worth the experiment.
For this expansion, I hope Blizzard prints some 1-attack minions that have some pretty strong effects on board. The strongest 1-attack minion for druid I have in my deck is Tar Creeper and Crypt Lord. While they aren't bad, it'd be nice to have some better taunts or effects.
What are you guys hoping for your Master Oakheart decks for the Witchwood?
He will be good, esp in control deck, as a neutral call to arms plus a 5 mana 5/5. This card not play in this meta because If you play control you only have lock and priest as a viable option and these two deck doesnt need him. But in a control warrior or paladin or shaman deck he is strong
While I do hope that something like this would be viable, I don't think there is enough card draw in druid to really make it work. Unless they go and print more card draw, the only card draw you really have access to is Nourish and I guess Acolyte of Pain, which has seen very little play in druid. Other cards in standard that you can use to try and get more card draw is Ancient of Lore, which has been nonexistent since its nerf, and Harrison Jones, which is situational. Oakheart helps with this, by basically acting as a draw 3 in a way, I still feel as if it won't be enough. A huge part of druid's success in the last couple of months have solely been because of Ultimate Infestation as, even if they got rid of pretty much everything else, drawing 5 cards in a class that lacks card draw is absurdly good. To add to the list of stuff you lose, you also lose Branching Paths, which has been a great flex card (even though half the time its just a 4 mana draw 2 since druid needs the card draw badly).
Completely unrelated to how well the deck is going to work, but what deck has ever run Dirty Rat as a tempo body? Like sure people have played it as one tons of times, but as far as I know the only deck that runs it for tempo is control paladin to cheat it out with Call to Arms to mediocre to poor success. Sorry if this sounded kind of snotty, as the card is without a doubt my favorite card (along with being one of the best cards designed in recent time in my opinion.).

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.

Nah, you're right. I've seen it only like twice. Sometimes in Controlock, since it's already a card they use. I'm not saying it was a good card to play in conjunction with Master Oakheart. But I'm just stating people have played it and it's worth considering Gloom Stag as something similar to that.
I think it has some interesting potential for Shaman given big cards like Voodoo Hexxer,Drakkari Defender, and Al'Akir the Windlord. Tar Creeper is a decent option for the 1-attack slot, but it'd be interesting if Shaman were to gain a powerful base 1-attack minion (along with another 3-attack minion for redundancy in case you draw Al'Akir).

Yeah, I wanted to try Master Oakheart in Shaman, but I didn't have Al'Akir. I think the main issue is also that there isn't another 3-attack minion that Shaman can use. I think there's more chance of having a strong 3-attack rather than 1-attack. But yeah, i also think it has some potential, especially since some of the early game can be totems :P
One consideration I had for the 3-attack slot is Silver Vanguard. It's not as immediate and you're susceptible to silence effects, but there are a few decent 8-drops you could include to get some value out of it.
I think the problem with using Silver Vanguard, is that it'll be way too slow. Some that I have considered are Psych-o-Tron[/card and Ancient of Blossoms, but they're pretty weak, and they will be rotating out next expansion, so there goes that.
So, I see two new cards applicable for Master Oakheart from the new stream.
Houndmaster Shaw. Instant burst with a 5/5, 1-attack, 2-attack. Glinda Crowskin. Get some taunts with 1-attack, 2-attack. and next turn just spam cards.
I can see a sorta control hunter with Houndmaster Shaw
Another card that could be possible for Master Oakheart to recruit, Blackhowl Gun Turret. Sadly, I don't think it's good enough, even if it is recruited. It does nothing, unless given the right support. There's a lot of legendaries with 3 attack in this expansion...
FINALLY, a great 3-attack minion that would love to be recruited. AND it's neutral, so any class could use it (probably going to stick it in my Druid deck). Witchwood Grizzly! 3/12 is insane! Can't wait to try it out! Also Witching Hour is going to be great in druid, if i can summon back Hadronox, or even Witchwood Grizzly, though I may be dreaming a bit for that case.
Alright! Finally, an amazing 2-attack minion that every class can use! Welcome Dollmaster Dorian. This is like Ixlid, Fungal Lord, but it gets the effect off easier. Can't wait to try this card out.

he wouldnt be good in paladin because of Sunkeeper Tarim. Could be good in warrior if they had any decent minions.

Here's the start of the deck I started to build, however there needs to be more cards released before I can finish a decent deck. I probably would remove Greedy Sprite, but we'll see how this expansion unfolds.
