It's a short list, to be sure, But I see it as a positive thing. Since Black Cat obviously needs odd burn in order to thrive, we're bound to see quite a few odd burn spells revealed this week. This will bolster non-parity burn decks too, not just the odd ones.
Considering how many burn spells are rotating out, it was probably inevitable that we'd get new ones, but I think the cat just makes it all the more likely.

Guys do you really think they'd print this card and not also some new support spells for odd-mage?
It is logical to expect some new spells for odd-mage, but hey, remember we are talking about Blizzard here, Anyfin Can Happen... ;)
Team 5 has gotten better and better over the years when it comes to balance and design. I can't accept this lazy bashing.
Corridor Creeper and 1 year to nerf patches says hello xD
Apart from jokes I voted "Playable" cause it's obviously a great card in a probably not so great deck. Mage should say hello to a lot of good even cards... I don't know if this will be worth the price

so? I said better, not perfect. "They designed patches (which turned out to be insane and no one thought it would be that good so maybe even the devs couldn't predict the meta) so you can't expect to print synergy/support cards for a new mechanic hurr durr" is lazy.

Pfff, chillax dude, are you a Blizzard fanboy or what? Team 5 has improved over the years, but just a bit, they still make very stupid mistakes, like for example the retarded arena changes they made some weeks ago. Of course, that was arena, not constructed, but something like that still says a lot about their balance and design skills. Yeah, it was "fixed" fast (I said "fixed" between quotation marks because there are still some problems), but the fact they said they playtested it a lot and everyone was happy about the results, just makes those changes an epic fail.

Confirmed Blizzard fanboy. I'm a paid troll in fact, I make $5 per post that praises Blizzard. Please report me for being a troll.
Maybe they make mistakes with balance (but as I said, they've improved over the years). But they historically will release support cards for big legendaries that require support to work. See: C'Thun or Reno Jackson.

definitely a cool card, but will odd mage be any good we'll have to see, but not being able to play any even cost cards could be kinda massive due to the fact that there are so many good even mage cards and not being able to use any of them could be kinda crushing, maybe some sort of control odd mage could be good due to alanna and DK jaina costing 9 mana, but i'm not sure, have to see what rest of the expansion brings first.

Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.
The card itself is strong, I just don't see how you ever finish your opponent off with an odd mage unless you just overwhelm them with hero power. I could be missing something, but I think this type of mage will need more still.

Maybe a minion based Elemental deck. And you kill him with minions like other minion based decks do. Frost Lich Jaina is a powerful lategame card. And at the time you can play her, the hero power did its duty in the early and midgame.
As every card but the latter targets at random, most of our options for Spell Damage synergies are unreliable for the moment.
But even without Spell Damage, the card draw alone makes this good value if you can get it. Odd Mage doesn't have many good tools now, but every expansion will bring more odd cards to use.
So happy I drafted a golden copy of this little guy today. As soon as I finished opening packs, I just had to make a deck to throw him in.
Love all the emotes, and the animation is pretty fun to watch. First he blinks, then after a few seconds the ears flatten back. Ah, reminds me of my longtime family pet.
The spell damage buff gives an excuse to put this into any Mage deck, even if you aren't running Odd mage to get the card draw.

At last a +1 spell damage mage card can decently use, nice conditional battlecry!

I have a better picture of this card now that I've seen all of The Witchwood's cards.
So far, the odd spells that benefit from this card in Standard Mode are:
