So, I'm not really that well read on the whole lore and stuff, but I do think there was a hint in that video towards the end. So, when they get to that boiling thingy, Dave says ''Ooh, look! Somebody's cooking something!''. This leads me to think the Hero Card might have something to do with custom spells? It's a long shot, but, the way she laughed and the way they hyped it is really fun in my eyes, so I just wanted to speculate a bit.

Battlecry: create a big cost custom spell. Hero power: create a low cost custom spell.
Knowing blizz they probably overbuff shaman as it has been in rough state for a while which means everyone jumps to the bandwagon. Hipsters gonna get mad ^^ Though also knowing blizz they fail to give shaman an identity which might mean that the class still is unplayable. Shamans problem hasnt been in a while getting endgame value. Its about getting there and drawing your value cards that shaman has problems with.. Without good early drops I doubt this card turns the tides even how OP it could be..
Cant wait until hearthpwn gets disappointed like they got with "OP" mistcaller. Myself gonna craft it golden anyways, like all shaman legs, just hope dearly its not murloc related.
I think myself her hero power will be something like:
2: devolve a minion by 1 cost , if it's a enemy minion 2
with a battlecry of devolving all enemy minions by 3
So wont have much of an effect on weenie hordes, and also not on massive cost minions but can really hurt taunts/rattle/end of turn/divine shield minions and buffed minions as well.
Honestly - if I see the word "random" being somehow included in the Shaman hero card or in the new Shaman set overall, I'm going puke. Sorry for expressing myself like that, but the last thing shaman needs is yet another mechanic based on luck. It's about time the class gets something powerful and reliable for a change.
Inb4 Making a Kazakus potion (or somehow copying Rexxar's HP) sounds like a good idea, but if you ask me the main antagonist of this expansion should have something more bizarre. Something, which we would never have expected, something original, which will make the card to really stand out from the other legendaries. Dunno how this should look like, but I want to see a card, which is really controversial and can surprise the users by its effect. Just like DK Jaina surprised us with the healing and the bodies in a spell centered class, how most of the players thought, that she was too expensive and unreliable, but how playing her actually turned out to be a game-winning.
So yeah, I hope the Shaman hero card is good enough to be used in control decks, that it doesn't rely on random outcomes and that it feels original and fresh and not a recycled card (see spoiler).
I also think it will have an effect like Battlecry: Hex 3 random minions. (since a witch can transform people into frogs- which also is a Shaman attribute).
Sounds so sweet... I hope in the next expansion another class will get one of the playable heroes.

Looking at shaman themes: There is already an evolve hero, so that's unlikely. Elementals doesn't really seem to fit the theme, same for overload. Maybe they'll have another attempt at freeze shaman? There weren't any hints at that in the video though. Totem synergy would also be an option, Wicked Witchdoctor worked with totems, after all.
Shaman doesn't have good card draw. Hunter has the same problem and they addressed that not by making a draw card but by giving the DK a card creation option. So I think creating custom cards as a hero power makes sense. Spells would be likely for a witch, but another option would be special totems. Or maybe animated trees as seen in the teaser.
Hex also fits thematically, but Hex as a hero power would not be fun, so if they went that route it's more likely that the battlecry hexes the entire board, similar to the polymorph-all option in Kazakus potions.

An earlier posted said it should be Mushroom, Mushroom effect from Mushhuckster Max and that just makes way too much sense. If it's anything but that, I'll be disappointed.
(The effect, by the way, creates a Kazakus 1-cost spell)

Not that it hugely matters really, but it may affect maximum health, and make Dirty Rat OP.
I'd expect it to be a hero card. Brode wrote it as hero card in twitter + iirc the reason Jaraxxus was not turned to hero card was because they wanted him to stay special as he has been with us since the beginning.
