This makes no sense to me from what ive heard in the video - Ben said "Just like last year, when these cards move into the hall of fame, you can keep the cards and we will give you the dust as if you disenchated them." - under "as if you disenchated them" i assume there will be not the full chargeback value then?.. i might have missed something important but this sentence confused me..
for example - i will craft two Ice Blocks = 800.. Ben will let me keep them both and give me +200 "as if you disenchated them" which leaves me with two Ice Blocks that i can disenchant for 200 (100 each) and another 200 from Ben.. and thats still -400..
As i said.. i might have overlooked something but someone please correct me if im wrong..
Ben said "Just like last year", and last year we gain the CRAFTING cost for free, and not the DUSTING cost...
I would like to have 2 of them to play in wild after rotation.
What's the best crafting option for me?
If u have dust to afford, the best crafting option is craft 1 Golden copie, since this is gonna cost 0 dust for you, and later, if u want, u can disenchant him for 400 dust.
But if u don't have a lot of dust, just craft 1 regular one for 0 dust and keep it.
(They're not gonna cost literally 0 dust, but you'll spent 400 for the regular one, and gain your 400 dust back when the year of the raven launch, same for golden but costing 1600 dust).
Hi, I'm not sure I get it. I know it worked like that last year. But Blizzard says in the official announcement post: Just like last year, you can keep your copies of these card once they move to the Hall of Fame, and you’ll be granted Arcane Dust as if you had disenchanted them (up to the maximum number that can be used in a deck). Doesn't that mean that the dust that will be refunded is equal to the dust you would get if you disenchanted? IE not the crafting cost.
So for example, a golden epic costs 1600 to craft but gives back 400 when disenchanted. What I'm getting from Blizzard's message is that we would be refunded 400, as that is what we would get "as if you had disenchanted them".
But then again, the message says "Just like last year" and last year worked just like you're saying.

I don't know what to do.
Just sit and wait, they will explain everything on 2 March, just craft (or don't craft) one day before the new expansion =)
If u craft them today, u will only got the dust from Hall of Fame when the next expansion shows up, so, i would craft it just when we're getting close to the next expansion (around april).
What should (Player A) do if he has in his collection:
1 Golden Molten Giant 2 Coldlight Oracle 2 Ice Block
?
Craft one more golden Molten Giant to maximize profit, since he will spent 1600 dust doing it, and later is going to gain 4200 dust, 2600 dust profit.
And I guess he can also choose to craft some golden Ice Block and golden Coldlight at a discount compared to normal prices, correct?
Why does it make better sense to craft a golden Giant instead of a normal?
1º Yea, he can craft golden copies at discount, which is good for someone that likes to have all the golden cards in game, but for profit, you just need to have all the cards that will rotate out, if some of those cards are missing, craft it.
2º The important part is craft a copie of a card that you don't have already, but make better sense craft a golden one, because if u wanna make profit, u will get +400 dust disenchanting the card later, instead of just +100, if u crafted the normal one.
Also, if u just wanna have the cards, u can craft either the golden one or the normal one, but i would recommend craft the golden, since if u for some reason need dust, the golden one is going to worth more (400 dust) than a normal (100 dust) and in Hall of Fame, u can get each for 0 dust.

Thank you for the answer. I believe you should (if you’d like) throw this example up on the OP as a guideline/example as to what to do. Some people learn by detailed graphs, others by simple examples :)
To think that a guide and a ton of posts are necessary to understand how something so simple works... It’s depressing and even more so to think about all the people who don’t maximize their gold/dust ressources. Blizz wins.
Again, it's just people thinking something is too good to be true and don't want to miss out on the free dust. No need to put people down who might not be so mathematically inclined haha.
I originally thought if you disenchanted something after the HoF rotation (and after getting the free dust) you can still disenchant for full value. I distinctly remember disenchanting some wild cards last year for their full value when I first started playing again. I wish I had a screenshot, but I wasn't sure what was going on. I dusted normal Ragnaros for 1600 dust.
I'm 98% sure that, since I already have 2 of each of the hall of fame cards, I'm best off just not doing anything, then disenchanting them afterwards as well (since I probably won't play much wild ever). Someone else already confirmed this, so I'm just taking his word for it haha.

I'll first wait until they confirm that we're going to got the CRAFTING dust and not the DISENCHANT, when they confirm, i'll update the post, thx for the tip bro. =)

I'm hoping the Molten Giant is going to be full value to disenchant, since he's getting "nerfed" (buffed, actually) xD
i have 1 ice block, 1 coldlight oracle and 0 molten giants. what can i do for max profit?
Craft 1 golden ice block, 1 golden oracle and 2 golden molten giants.
Ok i need more dust so im gonna dust the bad parts of the rotating out expans in advance. just need to know if this is the right choice, for confirmation
btw i really dont get why i should craft 2 molten giants. I thought ben said i only get refunded for one copy?

U get refunded for the higher rarity possible cards to fit a deck, example, u can use 2 epics in a deck, and higher rarity only because if u have 2 regular Molten Giant and 2 golden Molten Giant, you'll only gain the refund for the golden ones, get it?
U don't have to craft golden versions of every card, that's how u can maximize your profit, but if u craft the normal one, u will be good too, the important is craft everything u don't have from Hall of Fame, since this is gonna cost you 0 dust.
"Just like last year" part is more important I would say...
Mimsy Were The Borogoves
I currently have 1 normal Molten Giant.
I would like to have 2 of them to play in wild after rotation.
What's the best crafting option for me?
NO! Do it just before it cames out. The refund comes at the moment you start the game after the update.

I don't know what to do.
But there is no difference if I craft them today?

Ok guys, I have 2x ice blocks and NO Molten Giant. Having 3580 dust ATM.
Should I craft 2x golden ice blocks to maximaxe my dust profit? :-)
Many thanks!
My god, is it really so hard for people to read?
