Can't find any info on crafting Rag/Silvanas. I kinda want to craft them and try to finish LoE Heroic mode (the only adventure's card back i didnt earn so far). Are they refundable after new HoF rotation or is it just a waste of dust?
As someone said, you won't get any dust back. Cards that were previously rotated are only given reimbursement for the short period after their initial rotation, and never for any subsequent HoF rotations. I recently beat LoE heroic for the card back and I didn't use rag or sylvanas! Look up the most recent guides you can find if you're stuck. It is very much doable without them.
Today when I logged into Hearthstone, (HoF not live, but Molten Giant reverse nerf is live) I received 3200 dust for two golden Molten Giants. But I also received an additional 1675 dust for a total of 4875 dust. I spent 7000 dust to craft goldens in anticipation of HoF (two golden Molten Giants, two golden Ice Block, and one golden Coldlight Oracle).
So why the odd amount of dust?
Theory #1:
The Molten Giant reverse nerf is live today, but HoF isn't yet. Maybe I received dust for both my two regular and two golden Molten Giants: 3200 + 1600. But that still leaves 875 dust unaccounted for.
Theory #2:
Weird glitch as Hearthstone transitions between Molten Giant reverse nerf and HoF announcement.
Theory #3:
The remaining 875 dust could be:
400 x 2 = 800 for two regular Ice Block
75 dust = ?? No idea, since it doesn't correspond with my Coldlight Oracles.
Theory #4:
???!?!?!
Anyone want to take a stab at it?
TL;DR:
I received 4875 dust when I spent 7000 dust to craft goldens for HoF. I hope I am getting the rest of the dust when HoF goes live.
Cards I own:
Two regular Ice Block and two golden Ice Block -- both goldens crafted in preparation for HoF
Two regular Coldlight Oracle and two golden Coldlight Oracle -- I crafted one golden in preparation for HoF (already owned one golden)
Two regular Molten Giant and two golden Molten Giant -- both goldens crafted in preparation for HoF
You only get reimbursement for the max number of cards that you can put in a deck, i.e. for non-legendaries you only get reimbursed for a maximum of 2 of any card in your collection. Reimbursement will prioritise goldens over non-goldens, so if you have 2 goldens your regulars won't be reimbursed. If you already had 2 regular copies of any of the rotating cards before you crafted the goldens, then crafting the goldens was pointless. You won't receive any extra dust for having done this. Don't worry though, you won't have lost any dust. If you get reimbursed for your goldens and then disenchant everything, You will receive exactly the same amount of dust as if you had only been reimbursed for your 2 regular copies and then disenchanted those.
Now as to you getting any dust back today at all, that's very weird. I have got nothing back so far and I had always thought it was obvious that we'd only get any reimbursement after the HoF rotation, i.e. tomorrow. Sounds very irregular. I'll log in and check again myself now.

You were drunk last night and disenchanted few cards and forgot about that.
But seriously, you are the only one who got dust, so it's probably has nothing to do with HOF dust.
Fuck me, I'm glad if my replying to people's questions is genuinely helpful to them, but you do start to wonder if some people just don't know how to go to the start of the thread or something lol.
I thought it might be useful to demonstrate how and why the counter-intuitive logic regarding crafting and reimbursement actually works. Let's take a look:
Bob has 2 regular copies of ice block. He has no copies of molten giant, regular or golden. He has no copies of coldlight oracle, regular or golden. Bob doesn't care about upgrading to golden versions. Bob wants maximum dust value and wants to disenchant everything after the Hall of Fame rotation. Bob currently has 3,200 dust.
Bob knows that the rotation will only reimburse him for the total number of any card which he can put in a deck (i.e. maximum 2 for a non-legendary, maximum 1 for a legendary). Bob knows, in other words, that he won't be reimbursed for more than 2 ice blocks. Bob knows that reimbursement prioritises golden cards over non-golden, and so if he had 1 golden ice block as well as his 2 regular, one of those regular ice blocks would receive no reimbursement.
Scenario 1: Bob doesn't craft anything.
Bob has 3,200 dust going into the HoF rotation.
Bob gets reimbursed for the full craft value of his 2 regular ice blocks, which is (2*400) = 800 dust.
Bob then disenchants his 2 regular ice blocks for their regular disenchant value, which is (2*100) = 200 dust.
Bob therefore makes a total profit of (800 + 200) = 1,000 dust.
Bob's final, net total dust after HoF rotation is (3,200 + 1,000) = 4,200 dust.
Scenario 2: Bob crafts 2 golden ice blocks to "improve his profits"
Bob spends 3,200 dust to craft 2 golden ice blocks, and so he has 0 dust going into the HoF rotation.
Bob gets reimbursed for the full craft value of his 2 golden ice blocks, which is (2*1,600) = 3,200 dust.
Bob then disenchants his 2 golden and 2 regular ice blocks for their regular disenchant value. For his goldens, this is (400*2) = 800 dust. For his regulars, this is (100*2) = 200 dust. Therefore, in total, from disenchanting all his ice blocks Bob gets (800+200) = 1,000 dust.
Bob's final, net total dust after HoF rotation is (3,200 + 1,000) = 4,200 dust.
With a cry of great anguish, Bob realises that he in fact made a total of 0 dust from crafting the golden ice blocks. Bob then feels a humble gratitude to the cosmos for the fact that his hubris went unpunished, for Bob did not actually lose any dust.
I hope that makes it clear.
Edit:
Even though the craft/dust ratios of rares are different from those of epics, the above calculations work out exactly the same for coldlight oracle. Trust me, I've done those calculations too.

1. Yes, I understand how the dust is supposed to work; and i double-checked it prior to crafting. Last year I got golden lovelies for basically 0 dust and expected to do the same this year.
2. ..."crafting the goldens was pointless" -- except I wanted goldens, so it wasn't pointless for *me*. :-) As you pointed out, "Don't worry though, you won't have lost any dust." Although I lost dust today -- so I am hoping it will right itself when the expansion goes live.

I agree. My theory is it has something to do with Molten Giant reverse nerf went into effect today, whereas HoF doesn't go into effect until the expansion is live.

Theory blown since I don't get drunk, :-) and since the last time I used any dust was to craft my goldens, leaving me with zero dust --
Nothing disenchanted, since I wanted to ensure I got all of my dust back and it was easiest to keep track of that if my dust count was exactly 0.
"But seriously, you are the only one who got dust, so it's probably has nothing to do with HOF dust."
We don't know yet that I was the only one. This could be one of those weird glitches that only affects a few people.
I'll wait until the expansion goes live and see if it rights itself.

Uhhh ... yeah, I know exactly how to go to the start of the thread, which I have done. My reading comprehension is fine; I hope you read my theories on how this could have happened. Last year we didn't have a reverse nerf (have we ever had a reverse nerf? I don't think so) right before a new expansion and cards rotating into HoF, which hasn't gone live yet.
My scenario, which nets a dust profit of 0, is not on your "scenario" list, but I know the outcome, or what the outcome is supposed to be. I crafted goldens because I wanted goldens, not to "improve my profits." The net result should be -- by the time (a) the Molten Giant reverse nerf goes live and (b) the new expansion goes live and (c) cards rotate into HoF -- that my dust profit should be 0 -- I started with 7000 dust and I should end with 7000 dust.
I guess the dust refund happens IMMEDIATELY after The Witchwood is released, right? So I won't be able to use the dust I get from the prepurchased packs to craft the HoF cards and get the refund, right?

Right, you have to craft today if you want to get the refund =/
And I have 1 x normal Ice Block and 1 x Golden Verison
What should I craft? :(
You should craft the cards you're missing, in this case, you should craft a Golden or Regular Molten Giant, to maximize your profit, craft a golden one and disenchant after the rotation.

Ah my bad, I meant to say "unless you wanted the goldens for free, in which case you did exactly the right thing". Sorry my dude. I guess I'm just too much in the mindset of advising people how to maximise dust gain. I hope you get all the dust you're expecting after rotation. If not, it obviously might be worth contacting blizzard about it.
Edit: in response to your other comment - my guide was intended only to show how crafting and reimbursement logic works, nothing more. This is because I've spend a good amount of the last week answer questions solely from people who want to know how to get max dust value, a few of whom have said they have or intend to craft extra goldens "for profit". My examples weren't targeted at you and never made out to address your particular query, so please don't read and respond to it as if it was supposed to apply to you.
i crafted 2 golden molten giant today, will i get the full amount plus profit from hall of fame? just wondering, because i saw people saying that they received dust from molten giant, is this true? if so, how does it makes sense since molten giant is going to wild only tomorrow?
I'm sure this has been asked. If I have 2 regular Ice blocks and make 2 golden ice blocks. will I get the dust for the 2 golden ice blocks or the 2 regular ones?
Edit: Note1: Max dust rewarded is 1 copy per legendary, 2 copies for other rarities. Dust is granted just for your golden copies, not your regular, if you happen to own both regular and golden copies. See bottom of post for a visual overview of dust returns.
I knew I should've paid more attention in English class. Sorry folks!

you'll always get dust crafting cost back for the 2 most expensive ones, If you have 4 regular iceblock and 3 golden iceblock, you'll get dust refund for 2 golden iceblock.
if you have 2 regular iceblock and 1 golden iceblock, you'll get refund for 1 golden and 1 regular one
Ok i just wasted literally all my dust to make 2x molent / 2x iceblock golden vesions
let's see if I get 1600 profit after expansion comes live, if no I'll quit HS for sure :D
win vs win situation lul

unleash the hounds got changed in both directions and several times. But back then you didn't get dust anyway, I think.

HeyGuys!
I crafted the golden moltens when it was nerfded for the first time, and I forgot to disenchant them. That means I lucked some extra dust now? :D
Thanks for the answers, have a nice day!
