So isnt it always worth crafting the golden copies of the cards getting hof'ed since even if you have the normal versions you will get refunded for the golden copies only if you have them, like if i have a couple of normal ice blocks, i can keep them and craft golden ones, which is gonna cost me 3.2k, after hof i'll get that amount of dust back PLUS the added value of dusting the golden ones which is 800 AND i get to keep my golden copies, isnt that right? someone clear that up for me please, thank you!

Mistakes were made. You needed at least craft 2 of either kinds of molten giants over extra copies of the other ones. There's more net gain dust that way. Crafting gold versions of stuff you already had does nothing. You should only do this if you don't mind losing a small amount of dust to upgrade your cards to golden

I don't know what "the added value of dusting the golden ones which is 800 AND i get to keep my golden copies" means, since you don't get to keep dusted things ... that's how dusting works.
What I do know is that crafting golden copies of cards you already have does nothing to your dust balance. Go back and read the math section of the OP
- You own a regular copy of the card = Do nothing EXCEPT for the common rarity (Craft Goldens, DE afterwards = 10 dust profit per card) + if you like Goldens, you can craft them at reduced cost (see below overview with calculations)
so can someone explain y doesnt this apply for other rarities?
What should (Player A) do if he has in his collection:
1 Golden Molten Giant 2 Coldlight Oracle 2 Ice Block
?
Craft one more golden Molten Giant to maximize profit, since he will spent 1600 dust doing it, and later is going to gain 4200 dust, 2600 dust profit.
And I guess he can also choose to craft some golden Ice Block and golden Coldlight at a discount compared to normal prices, correct?
Why does it make better sense to craft a golden Giant instead of a normal?
1º Yea, he can craft golden copies at discount, which is good for someone that likes to have all the golden cards in game, but for profit, you just need to have all the cards that will rotate out, if some of those cards are missing, craft it.
2º The important part is craft a copie of a card that you don't have already, but make better sense craft a golden one, because if u wanna make profit, u will get +400 dust disenchanting the card later, instead of just +100, if u crafted the normal one.
Also, if u just wanna have the cards, u can craft either the golden one or the normal one, but i would recommend craft the golden, since if u for some reason need dust, the golden one is going to worth more (400 dust) than a normal (100 dust) and in Hall of Fame, u can get each for 0 dust.
Thank you for the answer. I believe you should (if you’d like) throw this example up on the OP as a guideline/example as to what to do. Some people learn by detailed graphs, others by simple examples :)
I'll first wait until they confirm that we're going to got the CRAFTING dust and not the DISENCHANT, when they confirm, i'll update the post, thx for the tip bro. =)
Good idea!
Thanks for sharing what you know with the community!
i have 1 ice block, 1 coldlight oracle and 0 molten giants. what can i do for max profit?
Craft 1 golden ice block, 1 golden oracle and 2 golden molten giants.
Ok i need more dust so im gonna dust the bad parts of the rotating out expans in advance. just need to know if this is the right choice, for confirmation
btw i really dont get why i should craft 2 molten giants. I thought ben said i only get refunded for one copy?
You get refund for up to 2 molten giants, since you have none atm you will get 0 dust.
If you craft 2 normal molten giants, you will get full refund, so if you then disenchant them you will get 100 dust for each, netting you a profit of 200 dust in total.
If you craft 2 golden molten giants, you will get full refund, and you will get 400 dust for disenchanting them, netting you total of 800 dust.
If you craft 1 golden you will get only 400 dust, if you craft 2 normal and 2 golden you will lose 600 dust.
You can disenchant golden common for 50 dust, and craft regular common for 40 dust, that's 10 dust net profit.
For any other rarity the crafting cost of regular is the same as the disenchanting cost of golden (rares - 100 dust, epic - 400 dust, legendary - 1600 dust).
That way you could just do nothing and get the HoF dust of 800 for the normal versions. if you would like to keep your golden copies, you would make a profit of 200 (if I'm not mistaken) aka disenchant value of 2x normal iceblocks.
I dont get it. I have all carts regular ( 2 x molten, 2 x oracle, 2 x ice). Discart it now anf craft the golden and dicrat it after the rotation and what will be the profit ?
No you don't. You get the same profit by doing nothing.
Why dotn craft as meany as you have the dust ?? For exemple 4 x glden ice block ?
It should be explained pretty well... You only get dust for the cards you can fit in a deck, prioritizing golden copies. Can you put 4 copies of Ice Block in a deck?
Sorry in advance, I didn't read the whole thread, but skimming it I didn't see the following question answered:
Since Molten Giant is going to be un-nerfed, which changes the card, is there a chance we will get the full dust after disenchanting it? Usually, after the nerfs, the little message in the crafting window reads "this card has recently been changed", which would apply to Molten Giant, even though it is an un-nerf and the card is actually improved.
I am considering crafting Golden Giants for that reason, and in the end, there is nothing to lose, but I'm curious if anyone has had the same idea and possibly some confirmation.

nevermind
sorry i mean that i can keep the normal copies of the card.

jeez its amazing how many people don't get the most simple stuff even when its handed to them on a silver plate...
no wonder 95% of you are stuck at rank 20.
That way you could just do nothing and get the HoF dust of 800 for the normal versions. if you would like to keep your golden copies, you would make a profit of 200 (if I'm not mistaken) aka disenchant value of 2x normal iceblocks.
One question:
Will golden molten giants give full refund seeing that they are changing mana cost?
In that case it's worth crafting 2 golden copies for extra 3200 dust, you should get full refund after you already got your dust back from HOF.

1x molten giant
2x murlocks

If i have the cards in golden and non golden, will i get dust for both?
