Im playing big spell mage a lot and I am really enjoying it, but as of now I don't have either Dragoncaller Alanna or Alexstrasza, and it seems to me as they are both rather vital for the deck. My question is which one I schould be crafting first, and whether they are both essential for the deck.

Alex, no doubt. Alot more flexible, it's a neutral and it's part of the Classic Set. Alanna is your typical "win more"-kinda card and not even needed in big spell mage.
