Let me just preface this with how I preface all of my posts: ~5000 ranked wins, 2100 of them paladin wins, played since release yadda yadda long story short I know what I'm talking about.
I'll start by saying all of these are GOOD changes by themselves, each was necessary for the enjoyment of the game, these cards were brokenly overpowered. However, taken as a whole there is a BIG problem here, or more importantly, with whats NOT here. There are all good nerfs, if you nerf WARLOCK along with them.
We saw this last round of nerfs, Murloc Warleader/Murloc Paladin got nerfed, and the control decks like Priest got out of hand where Murloc Paladin used to keep them in check. Now Raza priest, the one solid counter to Cube/Contol warlock, just lost its best combo, and you do NOTHING to Warlock?! Blizzard needs to learn from its past mistakes and start nerfing evenly, the Tempo and combo decks just lost a lot so guess whos gonna be on top? Sweaty, Sweaty control decks. Because now if you weren't tired of seeing a lot of Warlock before, then my god will I get tired of hearing Danni-Boi's voice until April.
As is always the case, when Blizzard decide to nerf something, they almost ALWAYS without fail either nerf the wrong cards, nerf them too hard or don't even nerf them at all.
If you look at the changes to the current nerf-selection, you can see that some of these are horrendous knee-jerk nerfs and are overkill.
You know you've messed up when you nerf a minion so badly that the Carrion Grub is now a better option! I think that some nerfs were needed - but I am frankly alarmed that none of the nerfs included any Warlock cards like, AT ALL!
Doomguard, Possessed Lackey, Voidlord - all of these are retardedly overpowered currently and yet Blizzard were browbeaten by the crying Warlock players into nerfing literally the only cards that were keeping them in check.
Well played, Blizzard. Well played. Enjoy the sole-Warlock meta...
let me preface this by saying you DO NOT KNOW what you're talking about. You see, there's this thing called meta and it has a domino-like effect on the decks. see, if you reduce the power of deck A, deck B, that used to be countered by A, is now more viable because A is not that strong or opressive anymore. Now here's the thing: B counters C, the deck left untouched on the nerf round. As a result, C cannot be the OP garbage deck that dominates the meta and makes you whine on the internet because of the nerf to deck A =)

If Doomguard is rotating to the HoF in April, then that would explain the lack of any nerfs to warlock.

I nominate Questmage as deck B
Quest Mage would be good guess, yeah. the slower Rogue decks too
Meta isnt just tempo, cube, raza and like a guy above said,it more like domino because some deck never see play (or perform well) because top meta deck is too strong so it can be better with this nerf (tempo rogue in KFT is example) and become cube-counter

Raza is going to Wild, though. So.... should be the same thing?
I read the whole thing.. but I had the same reaction.. it was such an unnecessary preface.
About the nerfs.. i agree that cubelock is going to be a problem. I also think they have a pesky habit of nerfing cards to oblivion.. a card is a problem, so they drop such a ridiculous nerf, just to ensure that it is unplayable..
An example would be to make raza read that it makes your "current" hero power cost 0.. that why highlander priest requires you to drop shadowreaper first.. the deck can still exist, but it would be weakened significantly.. raza on curve is just crazy in this deck.. the free heal is an underrated part of the decks construction.. allowing you to trade favorably, and maintain control while you wait for the combo. Instead the nerf just kills the entire deck.. this alternate change would significantly reduce the decks power level, but still make it available to keep cubelocks from taking over. (I am not a highlander priest apologist... I find playing against them annoying as hell.. but sometimes a necessary evil.. I promise you... a cubelock meta will be far more annoying than a raza priest meta)
The remaining cards could have been nerfed similarly.. to reduce their power level, so they are no longer an auto-include.. but still playable.. Bonemare is the only exception.. at 8 mana it could still see some fringe play.. and in arena, 8 mana bonemare is still premium

7856 wins.
No, you don't, Go sit in the corner.
Thank you for the inspiring comment, really deep. Do you get paid for being an arse?
Sometimes, but more importantly, sarcasm just flies over your head, doesn't it? :P
I'm actually not that worried about Warlock at the moment. With some of the more broken tempo spike cards getting nerfed, midrange decks like evolve Shaman, deathrattle Hunter, midrange Hunter, and elemental decks (namely Shaman and Mage) will all have an opportunity to go against the meta. Mid Hunter can push a lot of damage and force panic heals and less hero powering by the Warlock, Evolve Shaman has similarly powerful swing turns to Warlock with powerful silence and transformation effects, deathrattle Hunter can abuse cube in an even more profound way, and elemental decks...well, maybe this is more of a pipe dream for myself, but they feel capable and both Mage and Shaman wield powerful transformation tools. Secrets Mage should also get a boost with other early game slowing down. Secrets Mage can push quite a bit of damage over the top of Warlock's taunt walls and their secrets can be frustrating for Warlock to play around.
As is always the case, when Blizzard decide to nerf something, they almost ALWAYS without fail either nerf the wrong cards, nerf them too hard or don't even nerf them at all.

Is it confirmed, that there will be a hall of fame rotation?
They flat out said that the only reason why Ice Block is still with us is because they want to save HoFing for rotation time, so we know at least one minion is going in.
They are probably not sure about what to do about cubelock. It's not 100% that the meta won't figure out a way. People screamed that UI and Jade Idol needed nerfs after the Knight's nerf came in. By how it looks though it turns out they did not. but it sure seemed that way earlier. They may be wondering if a similar situation will occur here. It's also a new deck that's still being fleshed out, so it's counters will also be in need of fleshing out. I have seen high powered decks get solved over time (and get worse).
As far as nerfs go, personally I have the biggest issue with the 'back tail' of the cycle. That is, they take a while to determine if a nerf is needed and where to hit. Ok. I'm fine with that, especially sinced we really shouldn't be going through masses of "make this change, OOPS, change it back!" that works well for RTS and other games but not so much card games. The problem is that it is when they are sure enough to tell us what they'll do we have to wait ANOTHER month for the changes.
1 month to determine meta problems is fine. 1 month to find them then 1 month to add them in is 1 month too many. The second month may not be something they can control (either due to how the code works or how patches going through apple/android work) but that does mean they'll have to speed up the research time. Which sucks but the current longWait->announcementOfAnnouncement->ShortWait->Announcement->LongWait->Patch is not cutting it.
BAdditional decks that I suspect will rise in power level (not suggesting they are going to be tier 1 or 0 by any means.. but just some decks that will get a bump)
Exodia Quest Mage.. aggro and tempo will still be a problem.. and still be around.. there are so many good aggressive tools.. just taking out the pirate package wont instantly make aggro go away.. but there might be less of it for awhile, and quest mage can beat cooblock fairly easily.
Murloc Pally... one of the highest win rate decks around right now.. that is seeing relatively little play.. this deck doesn't really rely on pirates.. and creepers are easily replaceable components.
Miracle Rogue.. usually includes patches just as a deck thinner, but really unnecessary to the overall goal of the deck.
Big Priest.. maybe back again?
Hunters.. dont necessarily need pirates or creepers to be good.. and that no minion version thats just on the edge of being awesome, might get there
Shady Jady Drood.. always going to be a deck in the mix until the rotation..
Sometimes, but more importantly, sarcasm just flies over your head, doesn't it? :P
You really wrote a few days ago :
"I want to put RAZA here as an honorable mention simply because I firmly believe that it is going to get nerfed soon and I don’t know how good will it be after the nerf. They might nerf it into making the hero power cost 1 "

It's not like they need to learn how to nerf...
They perfectly know what they are nerfing, and it is always according to their plans.
PS: said otherwise, they don't care of single cards or decks. Their object is the (shifting) meta.
Yes and no
