Overnerfed. In standard I don't see why they would nerf Raza but leave Cubelock untouched.
In Wild wich is where this nerf really matters, Cubelock is already topdog by far (turn 5 2x Mal'ganis is a common sight). And this is just Cubelock's first expansion, it can only get stronger and evolve as more cards are released.
Get ready to welcome your new warlock overlords. After nerfing their main counters you are going to wish you were back to facing Razakus Priests and turn 2 Corridor Creepers.
Sorry, but no. Cubelock is quite bad against many decks, that includes all priest decks NOT only Reno-priest. Malygos-druid for example.
Also you can't really tech against both cubelock AND Reno-Priest.
Instead of raza why not nerf anduin. I think raza is balanced enough. After the nerf it will become useless af

"Nat Pagle, Angler Extreme" Nat Pagle wants you to catch the following fish: Misty Reed Mahi Mahi from the Misty Reed Strand in the Swamp of Sorrows. A Sar'theris Striker from the Sar'theris Strand in Desolace. Feralas Ahi from the Verdantis River of Feralas. Savage Coast Blue Sailfin from the Savage Coast of Stranglethorn Vale. Return to Nat Pagle when you have reeled them all in! Reward : Nat's Lucky Fishing Pole
People keep saying that this will just bring about more of a warlock meta, but that was coming soon anyway. Yes, I wish some aspect of cube/control warlock got nerfed too, but this is just bringing about the change that was coming when raza rotated anyway. I know blizzard is very slow in realizing the obvious, but I am sure when over a third of the community is playing the same deck they will do something about it. Probably something ineffectual and stupid that will change it to 25% instead of 40%, but I doubt they want everything at the high level to be mirror matches.
I would have liked to see the fifth nerf be to cube to only summon one copy.
Can I finally play old school (no win con) control priest now?
This has been impossible since MSG. There's many ways to get infinite value or inevitable lethal now so having a win condition is a must
That said, last week I made a wonderful deck that played just like old control priest with all the wild pyromancer and soulpriest goodness. The idea was to run 2-ofs to draw my entire deck much faster than any highlander priest could, then play Raza into benedictus when it's emptied. Such a shame that I can't play this anymore with the Raza nerf. I suppose it's for the best
Lol Really? Did you ever played against Razakus Priest at Wild? If you're playing control deck, you have no chance, midrange, no chance. You need to play aggro type deck and you must pray for god draws. Try now. Play some of Hunter variation. Maybe Pirate Warrior idk. You probably match a razakus priest in 3-4 match.
On his own he is not that powerful & even then Priest has a history of getting weaker class legendary. Nerfing Raza means Priest getting shafted by Blizzard once more. Every other class has some outright broken shenanigans e.g: Jade Idol, Ice Block, Voidlords etc. Never seen them caring about those cards. Now for the first time when Priest got a strong archetype it ruffled their feathers. This is an outright garbage move. I am sick of getting this kind of treatments from Blizzard as a Priest main.
To conclude. Nerfs are pure marketing driven, cosmetic in nature, to renew interest, but nothing changes. Sorry, can't report better news.
Another curious opinion, got any evidence to support it?

Arguing on the internet is like playing chess with a pigeon. You may be good at chess, but the pigeon is just going to knock all the pieces down, take a shit on the table, and strut around like its victorious.
