Hello everyone. Just a quick crafting question. I'm a f2p player coming up on 1600 dust, wondering whether I should craft the guldan deathknight or the malfurion deathknight. Maybe it's not the best use of dust, but I'm committed to doing one of them. I'm leaning towards malfurion but I'm not really sure. Any advice?
Bloodreaver Gul'dan is a card that can only improve with time, as more/better demons are added to the game. It's very strong already, so I'd say it's an extremely safe craft.

Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
Both bloodreaver gul'dan and malfurion need some support from relatively costly cards like voidlords+skull and cubes, or the jade package and ultimate infestations. If you ask me, i personally like more the flavor of malfurion because i love stacking armor and it's very flexible.
Okay. By the way, as far as jades go, I've got every jade producer other than aya, I have nourishes, and UIs. I'm only really missing aya, mire keeper(easy to craft), and jasper spellstone(easy to craft). As for demons, one reason I leaned towards malfurion is because I cannot really run zoolock(no malchezars imp or keleseth) and no voidlords/rin/cube, or any controllock cards.
I have both and I dont regret it. I crafted first Malf because I am a Druid main but then I wanted to bring Warlock to level 60 so I crafted Guldan and he was well worth it.
I feel like Guldan is the far stronger DK between the two. Even if Guldan just brings back two Doomguards, that's roughly 7*2=14 mana worth of stats (they cost 5 only because they have a serious drawback. If they didn't discard cards, they'd be about the same powerlevel as Charged Devilsaur and definitely better than Argent Commander). Malfy literally gives you 2 Druid of the Swarm and they both have to choose the same form. Call it 2*2=4 mana worth of stats, and that's being generous.
Malfy chooses between gaining 3 health or attacking for 3 and if you attack you lose health. Guldan gets to gain 3 health and attack for 3 without losing health (and if you somehow have a weapon or something, can attack again).
Guldan feels like a win-condition; something your deck is building towards, with a strong reward when you do. Malfurion is a powerful card in a deck full of powerful cards.
Malfy has 3 advantages: sometimes the distinction between armor and life matters (spellstone, going over 30 health), Malfy can come out sooner and you can hero power on the same turn, and Guldan depends on what you've played earlier in the game. If you're playing doomguards, you have a fairly large chance of discarding Guldan.
Still, Guldan wins hands down for me. Caveat: if you have Lord Jaraxxus, you already have a reasonable top-end card for Warlock. It's not as good, but still good enough most of the time. In that case, I'd go for Malfy.
If you don't have Aya running Jade Druid isn't so great. It's a very strong card. I'd craft Bloodreaver; it is certainly more powerful than Malfurion in a vacuum.

Awww I miss Jaraxxus ILLIDORN LOARD OF THA BURNING LEGION! And Dark pact :(
Yeah the life steal 3 health is a huge win condition, not to mention the 1-7 demons that just hit the board.....
I am sure that you could run a pretty good zoo deck, you really dont need malchs Imps or Prince for a solid zoo deck.
Personally, Gul'dan is my favorite DK. Even more so than Anduin.
The battlecry is a game changer with the right deck, but that isn't even the best thing about him: His hero power is ridiculous. A 6 hp swing, essentially.
But, Malfurion is probably the better shout for you if you've got a larger array of Druid cards.
Bloodreaver acts as a win condition, which is similar to N'zoth. Both have a very huge impact/ swing on the board when played.
Malfurion on the other hand seems like a complementary card. You only add it if you have already have a decent deck. Adding it increases the decks overall strength
I would say probably craft Bloodreaver, it'll always have voidlord throughout its course in standard. One problem I see with Malfurion is that maybe witching hour will see play? (this is assuming it'll be a strong card and that a sort of big druid might be a competitive deck, which may be unlikely). Malfurion sadly doesn't work with that card. But there may be other decks for druid, BUT Warlock is probably going to be really strong. I think you might want to wait for this expansion to start before crafting.
this thread is 2 and a half months old. lol, not really sure why people started commenting here again, not to mention the OP hasn't been active on these boards for over a month now.

all depends if you have other cards to make decks - think what will rotate out , base your decision on the long run.

Nice
Yeah, I would go for malfurion if you have those jade cards.
second it, go for malfurion

Bloodreaver Guldan > Malfurion any day

Guldan is the only DK strong enough to be part of any meta, so strong he remove Jaraxxus out of existence when both can be used.
The others DK's are pathetic weak in comparison.
