I've put two copies of this in my Rogue deck and I muat say I am pleased with the results. If things go my way, I can hold two copies until i play DK Valera, ao that i can play 3 a turn.It gives me a good option to directly damage the enemy Hero for 6, which is nice if there are a bunch of taunts up.
Interestingly, I cannot remember the last time I saw anyone else using this card. Am I the only one?
Repeatable 2 damage for 3 mana is really bad unless you're playing a fatigue control deck, which Rogue can't do due to lack of health or armour regeneration. Kingsbane with Lifesteal and Valeera are strong elements to such a deck though and the archetype could become viable if Rogue gets some more tools in this years expansions.
Maybe if you could stick Malygos to the board this would be an okay idea, but you're talking about spending 9 mana to deal 6 damage to face. For 5 mana less, Mage gets to do that and they aren't even stuck targeting the enemy hero. It's wildly inefficient - even if you had the spell power buffs from Maly, you'd still be better off with something like Sinister Strike or Eviscerate for direct damage.

Basically this. If you want to do spell damage with rogue you want to play malygos rogue and malygos rogue has better damaging cards that are more efficient.
Hey man, if you got a deck that makes it work and you're happy with the results, don't let anyone tell you you can't play your own game. I personally agree with whoever said Eviscerate is better even though it isn't repeatable but I did like the pressure Headcrack put on when I did my own experimenting.
Maybe runs some copies of both and make your own tempo rogue kind of deck or even go for a classic miracle style but I'd love to see a new rogue deck or two after seeing so much Leroy Keleseth and kings bane mill.
But everytime i tried to include it as an ultimate anti-taunt resource, i ended up removing it for better burst cards.
Point is you'd want to use it when you have no better option left to effectively reach face. But if you get to that point, your opponent is likely to have more comebacks at hand, making headcrack useless.
...all that while you probably lost control of the board and are taking irrecoverable damage.
Card is fancy and playable, but without enough support.

I may take you up on that. Problem with eviscerat is the cost of 2 Mana, which renders keleseth useless.
I do have a unique deck in a sense that i play Bladed Cultists, Feral Gibberers, Scaled Nightmare and a couple cards i dont see too often!
You could just play King's blade rogue and add in one copy of Headcrack as a fatigue finisher. Sadly though it will be pretty dead in most match-ups but when it works it works ;)

In what world is Patches the Pirate worse than Headcrack? It's a free 1/1 with charge almost all of the time, and depending on the deck or the pirate that pulls him into play, he could easily be a free 4/4 with charge.
Heck, even though The Runespear is generally pretty bad, it ends up averaging 8 mana's worth of stuff for 8 mana by the time you've exhausted it. The fact of the matter is that Headcrack is basically a bad version of the Hunter hero power, which is itself inefficient relative to the typical "Deal 2" card because it's unlimited throughout the game.
one of the worst cards in the game, I bet opponents are pitying you and letting you win.
if you waste 6 mana doing almost nothing and your opponent isn't afk...
I win a fair amount with the deck. Though it is a secondary experimental deck anyway. Never used in ladder.
I can name worse cards. Runespear comes to mind. Patches too.
Oh you win in casual...
Runespear is ok it's underrated AF it's actually decent just that the other shaman cards are also just ok, patches is the best card in the game ATM what are you talking about?
bad for the meta YES A LOT but bad as a bad card O.o
giving your opponent 3 free mana advantage is never a good thing, rogue got better cards in her arsenal than "rexxars' hero power for 3 that also takes a card draw and constant combo to work"

Deal 2 damage to the enemy hero and you can also use it next turn? Where have I seen this before...
Thanks for the replies all. I guess it is inefficient when I think about it. I think i may experiment with some other options.

This space is intentionally blank.
It works to some extent.

6 mana do 4(!) damage to the enemy hero? wow.
