Is there ANY meta in which players won't complain?
There will always be strong combos/broken interactions people will abuse, the problem is when a deck has no counters or weaknesses, or tech options that let you have an advantage.. like with KFT launch jade druid... cubelock got counters and other decks do broken stuff too..
In control matchups doomguard is the bigger problem since it ramps up to over 20 damage OTK. Thats basically the only thing i disslike witch cubelock.
Also a lot could be fixed with just releasing more cards that interact with deathreattle stuff and big minions. If every class would have a Palymorph/Hex kinda card Cubelock wouldnt be such a problem.
I dont think its good gamedesign forcing every deck to tech neutral cards/ooze/Spellbreaker insto every deck. Imo every class should have silence, morph and weapon removal in the basic set.
I don't think the problem is missing tech cards. We have them. The problem is that if you don't draw those tech cards at a specific turn, you lose, there's no point in going on, you can't deal with it without a tech card. In the past, you could deal with certain cards like Sylvanas without the need of a silence effect but now....how do you deal with warlock's weapon without an ooze? how do you deal with Jade Druid without Geist? I don't think in the past tech cards were that mandatory, they would just offer an advantage.
Even pro players say that dark pact os the problem. Cause it heals and extra advantage of killing either lackey or cube or even voidlord so it doesn't get silenced and u get 3 taunts vs aggro which can trigger a defile next. Mainly my issue is actually doomguard
Possessed Lackey: Deathrattle: recruit an demon that cost 8 or less.
Blizzard went and made silver vanguard an 7 drop that only recruits 8 drops so they were to conservative with it but with Possessed Lackey they went the opposite they made it any mana minion for less mana(5v7). i think to solve the problem is to put an limit on the potential mana cheat maybe 3 more than cost. and wile were at it they could implement it on voidcaller to summon 7 or 8 mana demon from hand. The 2 card is rely limiting the good expensive demons they can make, and the small upside you can now play Jarraxxus with them in the same deck.
Bonemare got a nerf and is probably where it should be now, cobalt was ignored and it really does need to be trimmed. Changing it's end of turn effect to +2 attack would suit it nicely.
Voidlord isn't a problematic card by itself, it's just the very cheesy ways warlock has of cheating out demons with lackey, bloodreaver and skull. A 5 mana 2/2 that draws and PLAYS a 9 drop is ridiculous no matter what 9 drop in the game it'd pull, Voidlord is a totally fine and balanced card when you actually have to pay 9 mana for it. Doomguard for free spam is equally as oppressive in my eyes, but again it's not doomguard's fault, it's the cheesy ways of getting it into play for free without its drawback being a thing.

Possessed Lackey is fine since you need to not include cheap demons in your deck in order for it to have value.
I would change:
1) Dark Pact to "Silence and destroy a friendly minion to restore 8 health to your hero".
2) Doomguard to "Battlecry: Gain charge and discard 2 cards"
3) Carnivorous Cube to "Deathrattle: summon 2 3/3 copies of the minion killed"(I still think the card will be good in deathrattle decks but no more in combo decks)
4) Skull of the Man'ari to "At the start of your turn, summon a random demon from hand and lose 1 durability" and that one durability is lost even when it doesn't summon a demon. Or "At the END of your turn, summon a random demon and lose 1 durability" (this way you get to play a voidlord on turn 5 and your opponent gets to react to it before you can kill it with cube. Also you get to summon a free Doomguard without charge, assuming the Doomguard change mentioned doesn't get implemented)
The problem isn't the minion itself, it is the fact that it can be cheated out! >.<

That's the point Lackey and voidcaller cheat out expensive demons way before they should be played. Even if pact didnt exist an t6 voidlord is still strong. The problem is the mana cheat and you will only play Lackey in decks with expensive demons. So an easy solution is just to put an limit on the amount of mana cheated. The 2 card's is limiting design space on big an expensive demons. if lackey gets limited to 8 mana for example, it always cheat out mid sized demons like Abysal enforcer Despicable dreadlord. With how lackey and voidcaller is now you always want to cheat out 9 or 10 mana demons or over stated ones with very big downsides.
You only want to play big demons that isnt much of an downside in an control deck were your going to revive them again anyway since you dont want bad demons in the res pool. For example ill never play implosion or impgang boss because they dilute the guldan res.

Easy solution: play the decks that have >50% win rate, play Control Warlock if you hate it so much. No dust? Invest money.
If you can't get same results as it says on hsreplay get someone to train you.
The goal of all life is death.
Voidlord is not the real problem nerfing it would cause a great lose for Warlock.
There is two problematic cards
Dark Pact 8 heal is too much seriously with both 16 hp also with Lesser Amethyst Spellstone it is like having Reno Jackson in deck.
Possessed Lackey normally this card would not cause too much problem but with the existence of Skull of the Man'ari it completes each other.
lul @ people who think dark pact is the problem
Aggro decks should win before turn 5, so i dont see the problem.
Dr7 its back!
Guys this is the fix:
Possessed Lackey:
Deathrattle:If it's your opponent's turn recruit a demon.
Ez pz nerf, now go and expand the word my disciples
Cubelock is one of the most unbalanced decks I have ever seen.
Well it can always just be
Possessed Lackey: Deathrattle: recruit an demon that cost 8 or less.

This is why I roll with Skulking Geist and Gluttonous Ooze on my non-aggro decks.
Voidlord itself is totally ok. Being pulled out turn 5-6 then resummoned TWICE is not.
I guess N'Zoth rotation might balance it a bit unless more busted cards are printed.

I've been saying that Dark Pact needs to be nerfed to only target demons, as the ability to pull voidlords on 5 or 6 is just too much.
