I'm trying to make a mill deck with The Darkness but I keep end up Milling the Candles is this and doesn't Activate The Darkness trigger is this suppose to happen even though they technically drew the candle
Can anyone explain whats happening here?
Also when i use King Togwaggle and swap decks with my opponent and I draw a Candle even though that should activate because the card reads when drawn awaken

Mill is different from draw, you mill a card before actually drawing then. Because of this, the darkness isnt really a good card to run in Mill decks, its better in fatigue decks
I agree, fatigue suits it better, but if you want to not mill your candle, you should mill him as much as you can first, then play darkness. Higher chance of not milling it by accident.

Milled cards do not get counted as drawn and are not suppose to as far as I know.
Bummer rlly wanted this to work seemed like a good combo when I was thinking about it before the expansion
Milling has never counted as a drawn card, so as others have said, running The Darkness in a mill deck isn't really smart.
