The candles aren't going to cost mana the turn you cast them automatically. They've just changed the way cards like that work slightly so that if you somehow end up with them in your hand without drawing them they have more consistent effects. This was confirmed for spider ambush, which has the same wording as the candles.
Ya The Darkness is just going to be like a worse/temporary Skulking Geist and will fade out sooner. If anything, it will trigger a more control Razakus Priest that will be hated even more.
Lesser diamond is not that good in big priest at lest i hope so becuase you need to dead minons that are diffrent it cant be the same and that deck dosent run enogh spells to fully upragde it
Big Priest runs waaaay more than 8 spells bub. Shouldn't be an issue upgrading.
Problem is the mulligan phase. Big Priest is going tu mulligan all the hand just to get Barnes. And this card basically needs to sit into your hand the entire game in order to get consistently upgraded.
If only there was a chance to draw it after the mulligan or a priest card that could copy a spell from your own deck...darn... Seriously, it's not going to be an issue. Even unupgraded it's good and big priest in its current form runs 5-6 different minions.
That aside my prediction is Spell hunter becomes a legitimate archtype (tier 2ish). Also highlander priest is going to take a hit because of The Darkness
One thing i dont undrstand is why you think the Darknees is going to be good aginst highlander preist its going to run removle and in most cases the Darkness will awaken in his turn and lets not forget thier new 7 mana spell in other words if a giant on turn 4 isnt stoping them why do you think this will
he is saying you play it turn four and they can't raza, which is true, it is half decent because of that, and if you look at the wording on the candle, it seems like the candle uses mana the turn you draw it, it has different language than other cards you draw from deck like that. It tells you that you are forced to cast it, and I believe it cost 6 so that is insane too, the point is mainly to screw over your enemy with those candles, not to summon a 20/20, and if they waste removal on it, good for you, now play an actual minion.
The candle doesn't use mana when it is drawn. I linked the respective youtube vid from the final reveal stream in another thread. At about 1:09:15 you can see it.
Save this one for the next nerf patch when so many requests are made and Blizzard increase the cost to 8 or 9.
Seriously, this card is like a CotW for only 7 manas powerlevel, it is insanely good.
Maybe is underated, some people don't get yet this is the most powerful control card release in this game history.
Its not a great control card at all. Control priest at least in the past tried to win through fatigue and this card makes that really hard to do. It’s great for combo priest but that’s just because it gives them another turn or 2 to machine gun you dead. When Raza finally, mercifully leaves standard this won’t be a great card in a control priest deck.
Plated Beetle hasn’t been talked about at all... I think it’ll be run in just about every Control deck... it’s a well statted 2 drop that heals you for three, and has a few perks being a Deathrrattle (New Rogue and Priest cards will like that, maybe even hunter too, and N’zoth as always).

Fatigue priest has not been a thing in years. This fits great into every existing priest deck. Plus it singlehandedly obliterates token and buff decks. How Blizzard can push decks like Dude Paladin and then release a card like this is beyond me.
Explosive Runes. Burn/secret/face will be very strong, that secret is busted. Aluneth also will be great addition to this deck. What is also important is that deck not relying on board too much, can burn from hand (maybe put copy of Pyroblast for additional burn) So it is kinda good vs Psychic Scream
It's also a secret that is almost impossible to play around: play a small minion, take face damage; play a large minion, your big mana investment dies. The new set contains a lot of healing and armor gains though, so if burn becomes popular, there are ways to counter it.
Also i feel like Arcane Tyrant will be almost in every deck. This is something like firelands portal. Now you can cast spell and put something on board for trades, not just skipping the turn
I think it will be in decks with sufficient card draw, but even at 0 mana it is still a card you have to draw, so there is some cost to it. And it's a card you may have to hold in your hand for a bit before you can use it, since a lot of spells are situational. So in my opinion, a good card that will end up in multiple decks, but not an auto-include.
Fungalmancer seems like a very solid zoo card. +2/+2 to 2 minions, i mean it is very very strong. It can follow Saronite Chain Gang on curve. seems good.
I'm a lot more pessimistic about that card. You really need to have 2 minions in play for it to be good and even then it's just good, not broken.
I think Kingsbane is in itself a good card, for which it is impossible to build a working deck. I've tried slow rogue decks several times (using N'Zoth, the Corruptor, Gang Up and/or Beneath the Grounds) and it is just too hard to consistently survive long enough for your investments to pay off. And that was before the days of Jade Druid and Razakus Priest.
I'm hopeful for Leyline Manipulator: I've played a lot of Burgle Rogue and Ethereal Peddler is quite strong there. Its main problems are that you may not be able to generate enough cards to discount and that its battlecry is useless when your opponent is also playing Rogue. Mage has a lot of card generation options, so having enough cards to discount should not be a problem.
Control will rule supreme. Until the meta cycles back around to tempo as it always does after an expansion. Midrange hunter will live as a tier 2 deck forever. Val'anyr will be a good card in midrange, but still won't be played too much. Kingsbane will be played, but in a select deck.

Maybe a year ago, now the power level is just too high to play "just" a 2 mana 2/3 that heals for 3
Perhaps not in Priest, but I do think the real heal thirsty classes can put great use to it. Warlock decks already play Mistress of Mixtures, and this is on a similar power level, and I think we have enough healing redundancy in this set now for something like a controlling Rogue to work out.
Explosive Runes is an absolute beast, good timing can let you slaughter any combo deck while also dealing face damage. Tempo secret mage will be a top dog, since psychic scream doesn't hurt it and it can run ice block to stop exodia mage
My bold predictions, in order of how strongly I feel I will be correct:
The meta will remain mainly unchanged (Druid and Priests at top)
Mage and Warlock are the two classes who will get better, and burn/tempo mage may become tier 1
This expansion will be much more interesting when standard rotates in 4 months and MSG is gone, and top deck archetypes will feature cards in this set.
Weapons won't see play. If they do, it will only be Aluneth first and Val'anyr second

Master Oakheart will be a staple in control warlock. Pulls a massive taunt wall that can be revived by Bloodreaver.
Paladin will fall below warrior as the least least played class.
Psychic Scream kills midrange decks
9 mana nerf in 2 weeks after release

Sapphire spellstone
This expansion is full of understated over costed minions with decent battlecries / a few good deathrattles.
I think that will really hurt evolve shaman. Higher chance of getting weaker minions for the mana cost.
Priest will be really tough to deal with and burn mage can burn even faster.
My bold predictions, in order of how strongly I feel I will be correct:
Green Jelly might see play in a zoo priest deck w/drakarri enchanter
