No, it does not shut down raza priest. They just cycle the dupes out. Gullible ppl...
Right, and if one of them is in the bottom 10 cards of their deck (as is likely to happen on average)? They can't activate Raza or Kazakus until 20+ cards into their deck, that's huge.
How? No negative effect on non-highlander combo decks.
Combo decks purpose is to draw their win condition as fast as possible and finish you off, this card alters their plan considerably.
How so? Combo decks run the tools to deal with a 20/20 (whether it's stall or removal). And if you mean it denies their draw, it doesn't. Read the candle cards again.
Wow! Interesting card! Great tech against highlander decks, and an auto include for fatigue and mill decks. The only question is if these types of decks will be viable. If these decks are viable, this will be an amazing card, if not it will just be a niche/tech card. I picked playable because I have my doubts about fatigue and mill decks being viable.
Can you get the 20/20 version of The Darkness off of Evolve? Or is he dormant?
There are missing too many mana cost minions up- and downwards from him. Evolve only gets 1up. If there is nothing, the minion stays the same. Therefore, you cannot evolve into him. There is no 19 cost miinon

I won games where I literally had to draw the last card in my deck to activate the combo. Priest can do that, don't worry.
Yeah, it happens, doesn't mean this won't shut them down for 9 out of 10 games. Most of the time Priest activates their combo far before then, and this shuts it down effectively.
Are you willing to run a worthless 4-drop one-of in order to be slightly more favorable against one class which already had a less than 50% wr?
If so, then Raza Priest will adapt to be less spell-centric and less combo-centric and go the way of Dragonzakus (which I think it will anyways because it's getting pretty decent support) and not rely solely on Raza -> Anduin -> Velen wombo combo.
If not.....well then we're right back where we started.

The fact that you can prevent raza - and thus the win condition - from activating until turn 20 is incredibly relevant
This card is garbage you have to have them draw almost all of their deck to get it, mean while you paid four mana and did literally nothing. They see this coming from a mile away so they can hold onto hard removal and easily get rid of it.
I wouldn't play this shit if it costed half the mana.
It's like those quest cards only worse, noobs see the shiny reward but don't think about what's actually happening during the game between playing them and getting the reward.

Yep. This would probably make a mage think twice about playing their legendary weapon. As if the end of turn draw activates it, you essentially just gave a 20/20 charge to your opponent.
I don’t think we will see much of it, but any draw happy deck will generate some fun videos.

You have literally missed the entire reason this card has been printed, and just why it's strong.
Nobody that I've seen thinks the 20/20 is actually good or the reason to run the card.
This card is also worse than beneath the ground if your just using it to turn off raza and kazakus.
beneath the ground costs 1 less mana, it gives you less total stats (12/12) but you get to get some tempo back much quicker and spread out instead of one big 20/20 all in that can get removed by a single death.
40% meta defining. So stupid. Seriously the amount of people saying silence it is baffling. This card is not good, and here's why. First, no it's not good in mill it kills the card. So what's this good in? People are chanting that it's the death of raza, but I argue otherwise. Yes, if you play it on turn 4 it will prevent their raza, but if you don't have it on 4 or 5, then it doesn't counter anything except Kazakus, which is one card. So you play this card to try and counter 1 deck, and against any other deck it is probably a 4 mana do nothing unless you get lucky and they draw all the candles (which isn't likely at all). This card isn't the death of raza priest, not even close. Yeah, sometimes you'll play it on 4 and they'll end up playing raza late, but that doesn't even stop them. Razakus is almost completely draw, and they only need to draw 2 candles. It's not that good. It's a cool idea, and can go in some meme deck like a dead man's hand that keeps putting the darkness in the deck and keeps putting in candles. Don't be fooled, this card isn't good

Excatly. Someone gets it. You’d think twice whether you want to go off with your Aluneth, or Gadgetzan, or tap like a madman knowing that you might awaken the Darkness
Not bad AT ALL.
I can see even Mill decks making a comeback with this one. Hell, this might even be the one I craft!

Nocturne made it into Hearthstone!
Next I want to see Teemo.
idk why people think priest cannot handle a 20/20 on their turn, they have 2 deaths and dk anduin if needed to remove the card instantly
Any thoughts about putting this is deadman's hand warrior?
I don't think this will ruin Razakus Priest.

Any thoughts of using this in deadman's hand warrior?
So is the consensus that if the candle is burned by overdraw it doesn't work?
No edit option so double posting.
