but how good is kingsbane though? I mean.. on stream it was okeish.. I guess and the deck on stream are like 40% new cards just to showcase them and not really refined..
Have you ever even tried it? It's not greedy at all. It's a strong T6 play in a weapon buff deck that allows you to put pressure on classes like druid that don't have hard removal. A 4 mana 7/7 saw play with all that overload. A 6 mana 9/9 could easily see play too.
Tried it every season since they realese the card he is one of my favorite cards (just check out my decks) but HS have changed a lot you cant afford play a 6 mana Pirate that does nothing you will most likely instant lose. The game is all about tempo nowadays and i doubt this will change anytime soon.

You won't lose as much tempo if you have a 5/3 weapon with lifesteal equipped.....
Rogue basically got only constructed power level cards.
I can't believe I lived long enough to experience a card reveal without rogue mains complaining everywhere despite having a tier 1 deck every single season since Hearthstone's freaking beta.
I’m pretty excited about this one. I was trying to put together a deck built around Kingsbane, but it felt a bit forced since Kingsbane is only one card and if it’s at the bottom of your deck you never get to do what the deck was built to do. This card triples your chances of getting Kingsbane! Not only that, but since Kingsbane shuffles back into your deck after is breaks, it’s the only weapon you have to include in the deck, and these little guys can still get their full value even if you’ve already played it! I can’t quite bring myself to rate it Meta-defining, but it’s definitely very good!

Are you kidding, right? You drop the 6 mana 9/9 they just play a 4 mana 3/4, 3/4 taunt and ignore it, board control is what matters not a fat greedy minion. There's plenty of cards in the meta that just rekt this Vilespine Slayer, Golakka Crawler, Shadowreaper Anduin, Sunkeeper Tarim, i can stay here all day ... Even in the Keleseth tempo rogue that use weapon mechanics aka Jambre's Pirate Rogue they dont put this card because its just too greedy and unecessary.
Kingsbane is actually possible to use now. I also like the fact they made this a common and 2-mana so it isn't viable with Prince Keleseth. It's more like a 3-mana card that equips a weapon for you and "thins" out your deck. I can see a pirate rogue or a weapon miracle rogue actually forming. Hopefully it works but isn't ridiculous like Prince Keleseth tempo rogue.
So when Kingsbane came out we all thought "If there was a card to draw it this will be great". Now we have the card, and everyone thinks these two cards are meta-defining. If such a great deck with Runeforge Haunter exists these card will be a huge part making this deck exists. I am not 100% convinced that it will exist. So calling out meta-defining now feels too early. This could just as easily be a card that no one will every play ever. But the fact that it is a tool that could make a cool deck makes it something I am very excited for it to exists as a card in hearthstone, even if it doesn't live up to its potential. So even if it becomes a Tanaris Hogchopper, it is still a very good card.
Compare this card with loothoarder. 1 stat more and it's a battlycry effect, only downside, you really gonna need wanting to draw a weapon. I suppose playing this on turn 2 and playing Shadowblade on curve isn't so bad either for a deck that isn't centered around Kingsbane.

Nobody's going to save one of these in the hopes that a person's running Luckydo. You just bait it out with a Swash, Patches, Dread Corsair, etc. It's a dead card against so many decks anyway that it probably won't be run with much consistency anyway.
this enables kingsbane!

This card is the only reason the Rogue legendary weapon could be viable. This is a good card.

Can't play in a keleseth deck. But good in weapon rogue, 3/1 novice engineer is pretty good.
Carpe Diem - Seize the day
Don't forget Cheat Death, other than Shadowstep, can make you abuse this minion. Plus Sonya Shadowdancer, Shadowcaster, Zola the Gorgon.... Do I miss something else to abuse it further? Lol

That'll do, Huffer. That'll do.
Kingsbane Rogue is now playable o...o
But what should we call it, Kingsbane Rogue sounds meh. How about Treasure Rogue?

I am a pirate.
"With great power comes great responsibility."
"A gun is a liar's weapon."

3/1 draw a card for 2 is excellent. Even better if you meticulously control which weapons it pulls.
