Lonely Rexxar, stalking his prey, laying traps left and right... his only friends being steadfast Misha, brave Huffer, and loyal Leokk. As monster after monster falls to his steady aim and incredible strength, he makes his way further and further into the dungeon, knowing that none can stand between him and the Master Chest, lest they be frozen, misdirected, or simply Sniped.
It's obviously used for some sort of control version of huntard...don't see it doing well though tbh. I'd say right now this card is in the dust me stage.
You can still have minions in your deck at the start of the game... yes, the archetype is probably garbage, but it'll be fun to try building around. Also obviously designed to fit in with Rexxar Deathstalker for da zombeasts.
Also, why did they have to let the Lich King tell them what to do with hunter? Will they also go in and tell rogue to run no spells or shaman to work only with 1/1s?
I know people are hating it, which is understandable, but I think it's a very cool idea for a deck archetype. The cards aren't there yet, but by the time this cycles out I really think it could be awesome. We'll have to see.
Guys. A meme deck is a deck that can win but to do so it must meet some very unlikely requirements, like getting a specific card from RNG, or exploiting some silly mechanic that works 10% of the time, or only vs certain enemies. No-minions Hunter ain't a meme. It's filling packs with turds so you buy more packs.
But 10% of the time, it works EVERY time, amirite?

Honestly, part of my frustration is that I was hoping for a good weapon as the previous reveals were tras for Hunter. Two good commons since, though.
Yeah it's a shame the Legendary weapon is so archetype focused, no good for 99% of potential Hunter players. On the other hand, most of the legendary weapons suck, so at least it balances out.
I like the flavour they're trying to push...

There's all my notable achievements.
Spell Hunter? WTF!? Might as well play minion mage w/no spells... dust... won't work

Ibn Fahd.
Even if it didn't have the no minion requirement, would this card even be good? Hunter got fucked this expansion compared to the other classes.
Very cool!
They better add early game control spells.
This thing won't go anywhere without them.

If a least hunter have many good and cheap burn spells...
You can build a deck to burn your opponent face and when run of steam this weapon give you fuel to continue your plan.
But 1 mana 2 damage and 3 mana 5 damage with a beast is far from it.
While I agree this deck is unlikely to be tier 1 or 2, I think people slightly underestimate how many minions hunter can summon with just spells:
With the DK, secrets, the spellstone, animal companion, call of the wild, to my side, weapon cards, etc. A spell Hunter deck just might work.....
Wild yogg hunter. Lol.
F*** you blizzard, why do you always do this kind of shit for hunter?? Just answer this f****** question
Nothing agaist meme cards but this is taking it way to far
Survive until turn 7 with no minions...yeah, NAW.
To be fair this also could be run in big hunter as a lategame card, if you recruited out all your minions
