I Hope, I really hope that Blizzard will not push this stupid archetype of playing without minions. Blizzard when you have in mind that archetypes that your buyersdislike, don't push it. You have done it for:
- Warlock Discard, discard suck, discard cards are bad.
- Rogue stole card. Rng of other random class cards is bad.
- now hunter. Play without minions is bad really bad, please don't try to show us that is good because it is not and stop print this garbage.

I have put a good amount of money into this game and I like the archetype, soooooooo....
I don't mind that they're pushing a new archetype of "no minions in deck". Fine, sure, something different, even if it ends up tier 3 or something.
But why that deck in Hunter? The class with the worst spells that is super reliant on pressure through minions? The class with no AoE, or healing, or any spell synergy? Maybe that IS the reason, to totally switch it up, but then he needs support spells, not To My Side!
I mean, I'll reserve judgement until we see it in action, and I'm all for some new kind of deck in Hearthstone. Just seems like the wrong class at the wrong time.

People didn't like those decks because they thought they were trash. The same reason why people didn't like Keleseth upon release or The Caverns Below when it was first announced. It's because most people don't give a shit about a deck unless it means easy wins and if something ends up being good they go back on their opinions and play it, regardless of whether they enjoy the playstyle. I loved both discard warlock and thief rogue. And discard warlock even received a buff with this expansion. Sure, the deck looks like total crap right now but I bet if they gave something broken to it, you'd get people falling over themselves to play the deck.
I'm glad I'm not a hunter main. The hunter community.. What the actual fuck. How can you hate so much getting new archetypes?
I mean the Shamans I get it, they get a new fantasy every 3 months, enough is enough. But you hunters... Me want beast! Me want low mana cost! Me don't want 6 mana, worse than Highmane! Me no control!

It would fit perfectly the Barnes/Y'Saaj Hunter which some streamers run to mess around in legend ranks last season.
It's battlecry isn't a game saving anyways so most of times you won't need it to be playable right on curve. It's not like runing duplicates in Reno dekcs then getting screwed for not consistently getting to play it on turn 6.
Barnes lists on standard, Yogg'n'Load on wild.. This weapon may be really fun to experiment with.
I wish to have this as my free weapon, then build around it ,then play for awhile, then stop once I draw a bunch of bestial wraths that i cant use because I HAVE NO MINIONS in my deck!!!!
I play almost exclusively Hunter because of WoW, fondness for underdogs, and because I like it's themes.
I am upset at this but if I'm being honest I don't think it's as bad as everyone says.
It creates an interesting theme, playing Hunter without Minions creates a cool feeling where you really are hunting alone, but the biggest flaw with this idea is when they decided to implement the archetype. When Hunter is at its worst, praying for any good cards to bring it out of the dumps. I think that the best way to have done this would have been to give Hunter some solid Minions and Spells to bring it up, alongside some more Control-ey cards that probably would have made us go "Eh?", but something like Crushing Walls, and possibly a healing Secret probably would have been acceptable if the other cards we got passed as mediocre at worst. Then next expac just hit us with this new archetype that seems doable with the cards we had at the time, instead of giving it to us while we can't really make good use of it, only so we can wait for next expansion where we may not even get solid support for it. It's results have been a very unhappy player base, and what will be 4 months of memes for our poor friends Rexxar and Alleria. There's always next expansion folks.

This weapon is just stupid, all I wanted was a weapon with poisonous to actually be able to remove threats but nooooooo, please fill my hand with random hunter spells.

The only redeeming quality of this card is that we might see the rise of a new archetype on the next expansion. but in this expansion? doesn't cut it.
