Whew. It's a good thing priest is getting this powerful card. Sure, it's a touch strong in a vacuum to be able to steal absolutely anything from their opponents for cheap and develop a big board at the same time, but they've been such a weak class recently, and all their other cards that have been revealed have been so weak, I was afraid that priest could have been potentially irrelevant in the new meta, hopefully this card keeps them in the game.
If you don't put the sarcasm tag there will be surely people that think you're serious.
I seriously worried that this card is too strong in combination with Cabal Priest. Someone said that is a 2 pieces combo (3 if you count that you must have a dragon in the hand), but it's still not so difficult to pull off and then nobody can play a powerful minion at turn 8 without risking to lose the game. Against a turn 8 Lich King for example, the priest ends his turn 9 with a 2/8 Lich King, a 8/4 and a 4/5. A game changing swing that doesn't look like requiring much skill
Hooray. Only 2 more broken as fuck priest cards left to reveal! Literally the only upside is they might not have room to fit all of them in a deck. Either way, priest will completely dominate the meta until they're nerfed. Most classes barely seem playable in comparison. Its even more obvious than when everyone knew Druid would dominate KFT.
I think this card is somewhere between Playable and Very Good. The synergies are obvious. Cabal, Pain, Horror, Madness etc. But even without the combo pieces, as a stand alone card this card is quite good. Turning your opponent's 6 attack minion into a 2 attack minion while simultaneously getting a 3 mana 6/4 is, well, pretty damn good! And, one of the best things about this card is all you have to do is land it's effect on anything with at least 3 attack to get your standard 3 mana 3/4 while debuffing an enemy minion.
This card is another exceptionally good card available to priests. It's just that once again, it's niche'd into a very specific deck. Right now, I'm voting playable but I really think it's better than that. Like, Playable+
Edit: Nope, I've changed my mind. The more I think about it, the better this card gets. I've officially changed my vote from Playable to Very Good.
A conditional aldor peacekeeper with slightly better stats. Meh, priest has better cards, won't see any play. Very interesting arena card though.
You're kidding, right? This card will definitely see play. Let me try to explain. A 3 mana 4/4 with no downside is already ahead of the curve. So, a 3 mana 5/4 would be crazy good, right? As would a 3 mana 6/4 or even a 3 mana 12/4. Most if not every class would play those cards if they could because they break the mold of what is currently considered good as a 3 drop. Now, a 3 mana 7/4 that also reduces your opponent's 7 attack minion down to 2 attack? Just think about that for a second.
Now you may be thinking that while what I say is true, when played on curve this card doesn't hold up. Well, I disagree. Let's ask ourselves, exactly what's required to make this card viable? In reality, all it really takes is for your opponent to have a 3 attack minion on the board just to get the bare minimum value out of Twilight Acolyte. At that point it's a 3 mana 3/4 that debuffs your opponent's 3 attack minion. That's still pretty good and that's really at it's worst. Odds are, most players will be able to squeeze considerably more value out of it. So yeah, this card's going to see play. Granted, it's only going to see play in dragon decks, but it will most definitely see play.
1: No dragon tag. True, this card would be very powerful if it was a dragon. Too powerful in fact. The lack of the dragon tag helps keep it's power in check.
2: The effect is actually quite good, so I'm not sure why you would say otherwise. As I just pointed out, a 3 mana 7/4 that gimps your opponent's 7 attack minion is not only good, it's extremely good. You don't need to combo it with anything for it to be good (except the requisite of having a dragon in your hand). You can though, and the card is even better for it. But by itself, the Twilight Acolyte is very powerful. Being able to combo it with a Shadow Word: Pain is just gravy.
The only thing that makes this potentially inferior to Aldor Peacekeeper is the dragon-in-hand condition. The effect, specifically in priest, is much stronger thanks to the numerous priest effects that care about a minion having 2 or less attack.
Whether or not there's room in a dragon deck, or dragon-hybrid deck (if you're playing this, you probably want to be playing Cabal Shadow Priest too) is another story, but there's definitely potential in this card.
In arena, 2/4 with for 3 with potential large upside is very playable.
Weak effect? Crippling a big enemy minion while playing a high threat is a weak effect now?
Even without the combo cards this effect is great as you basically play a way higher statted Aldor Peacekeeper for the cost of an enemy minion having 2 instead of 1 attack.
So Dragon Priest can run two copies of a miniature Vol'jin, but swapping attack instead of Health. Not only does this become a 8/4 if you target The Lich King, but there's tons of combos you can follow it up with. Or even just allowing you to trade beneficially.
Super strong vs control or midrange. Pretty weak vs aggro though, but a 2/4 body is still fine.

Weak vs aggro? I think you're forgetting about Bittertide Hydra
I don't really care. I'm so tired of razakus priest. they can have whatever cards they want. It'll still be all about razakus for a few months, unless they decide to nerf some cards. I swear, it's the dumbest deck I've ever faced. Too many answers, almost worse than Jade Druid. If you play these decks then you are the lowest of the low. I'll go ahead and throw Exodia mage in there as well. Is there anyone that won't be glad to have some new cards to play against this crap?
This + Cabal Shadow Priest has such a nice targets on turn 9 or 10. It is mind control on steroids... The Lich King, Ysera and Obsidian Statue comes 1st to my mind.
This card is fantastic for dragon priest!
I cant wait to play this card. Its going to be fantastic in the late game. Small mama cost so it can be played with other cards.
If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.

Highlander dragon priest anyone?
Blizzard has printed exactly one bad priest card so far this expansion and it's the legendary lol.
This card is very simmilar to aldor peacekeeper maybe even better cause it gets nice juicy stats when it hits a juicy enemy minion.
Carpe Diem - Seize the day
letìs give retarduin even more stuffs to control board.i swear this is the worst meta ever.with kobolds priests will be unstoppable

Hunter needs to hire the Priest card designers.

Voting meta-defining.
Too many synergies. Bypass the 4 atk minion that priests suffer. Fits the powerful dragonpriest archetype.
The possibilities are truly big.

Well, I am pretty sure Priest will be dominating this meta... Besides Temporus they have gotten only strong cards!

well this card is bonkers.
