I don't really care, if I'm calling it too early, but I don't think it's meaningful. Brann Bronzebeard was a better battlecry enabler, because a) you could do it on more minions b) he has a better body c) if he somehow stays on the board, he he snowball even more (i.e. he is a must kill). This elemental is very conditional.
Why is everyone giving this card good reviews? This card is terrible, first of all 2 mana 1/1 is terrible, now the battlecry is strong, just not in Shaman, what are you gonna play this card with? Dopplegangster? Way too slow
See! I said when the legendary was released that they were trying to give battlecry shaman a go again! I'm really happy to see this, can't wait to use Rumbling Elemental in a wild elemental battlecry deck!
Even in standard you have the potential to do 20 damage in one turn with two of these and two Blazecaller.
Best case scenario I think is turn 8 (or 7 with coin) this -> Doppelgangster -> Evolve you get 5 6 mana cost minions. Can be used on elemental shaman too for Kalimos, Primal Lord. It's not a curve play but can be used as comeback on board ( Doppelgangster ) or as a finisher.
It’s cheaper than brann. And Brann was usually killed the turn he was played anyway. Good synergy with jade. But also with a lot of elementals. And because of the cheap cost also easy to combo with several cards a turn. I think it’s playable.
Shaman OTKs are now a thing again in standard. Let that sink in. You can reduce this to 0 mana with the 2 mana 1/1 that was added in Ungoro, so you can still play a full 10 mana turn at double battlecry, with some elemental discounts as well if you caught any of them in the reduction
Basically we've got OTK options. Be it 4 Alakirs, its still there.
