It has many counters like jade lightning or cabal shadow priest and pain !!!!! Bad body. Maybe I am wrong but for me it is 400 dust
I mean yeah, it gets killed by all that stuff. He really isn't meant to stay on the board though, they made him easy to kill because his effect is potentially very good. So don't look at his body, look at what you can do with this effect the same turn you play him. He is to be comboed with stuff, not to be played and survive a few turns.
Memes aside, I don't see this card working. Sure, the effect is pretty good , but the the cost and stats loose you too much tempo in any non-ramp Druid, while Big Druid doesn't need the extra Value. The statline is also a disaster waiting to happen (Priest).
Edit: There is a home in 2 decks for this Fungi: One of them being a Aviana Kun Deck with a Malygos OTK and another one being Quest Druid that copies huge minions that cost 0 after completing quest. Both are fun, but Ixlid, Fungal Lord works only consistenly in the OTK Combo Deck. It still has an insane powerlevel though if it survives for a turn. Maybe some Deathrattle Druid will make it work in the future?
Ah, I got it. No you don't. When you play CSP, Ixlid is not on your side. He would've before the last patch (or the patch before). Now he doesn't any more.

But Ixlid's effect triggers AFTER you play a minion. Is that "after" checked before or after CSP's battlecry triggers?

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
The after is checked at the end. That is correct. But now, there is a check at the beginning of every action which minions will trigger. These minions are put into a que and only these minions can trigger. When you play CSP, the game checks for all possible triggers and can't find any. No minion is put into the que. At the end, the game checks again for all "after" triggers. It sees Ixlid and checks the que. He isn't in the que and therefore his trigger is not activated.
Before the patch, there was no que and he would have triggered.
So is this card worth crafting? I know it's probably safer to wait for a few weeks before crafting legendaries, once the meta settles down (for f2p players at least), but how's your experience so far?
If you aim for meta cards, then no, it isn't. It most probably won't get into any competitive deck.
If you look for fun decks, Savjz made a Jungle Giants/Malygos/Ixlid deck that was pretty fun to play. I deleted a N'Zoth Pally from 36 to 0(30hp+6armor) behind a wall of deathrattle taunts with just part of the combo. It can achieve 50 damage with both swipes and both moonfires.

I crafted this card at the start of expansion for only one purpose. Master Oakheart brings him out with his battlecry. And since its covered behind a taunts, its effect can go off a majority of times (getting 2 hadronoxes are great). I wouldn't recommend crafting it unless you're trying to do combo, since this is what this card seems to do best in. This is one of the cards that might pop up in future expansions since the effect is strong. But if you're f2p, don't bother crafting it at the moment.
Ixlid->Leeroy for 12(already good)->twig->faceless->faceless->24 more damage for a total of 36.
:/
Much more interesting design unlike some fat beater Tyrantus.
It's meta defining in Kuun Avianna wild decks.
just drop it in the naga giant deck in wild.

If you steal this with Cabal Shadow Priest, do you summon a second CSP?

Just wanted to post that Ixlid, Fungal Lord->Faceless Manipulator does makes two Ixlid, Fungal Lords.

And in wild it has so many more combos to do.
So, as i said, it depends your approach.
Malygos combo is good
Olokinho meu!!!
