Hey, dummies. This cannot possibly be "meta-defining."
All it does is reinforce an archetype that has been around since the beginning of time.
No need for pejoratives. But honestly it's why I don't like option to say "meta defining". It's not an exact term. It seems that you see it as "creates a new archetype that then takes over the meta". A good example of this is Anduin. Others may see it as a card that pushes a particular archetype so well that the entire meta takes shape around that card and the deck it's in. So if in the next meta (hypothetically) Control Warrior is top tier 1 deck, and every other deck is judged on how good it is based on how it performs against control warrior, all because this one card pushed the archtype so hard, then some may consider that meta defining.
Also, I personally do not think this is meta defining. Not because it's bad, but because of Jade Druid. Jade Druid punishes the control decks of old (and new) that didn't/don't have a clear win condition outside of just grinding out your opponent. Any control decks that do exist in the tops spots essentially have a clear cut win condition. Razakus for instance (could also be argued as a combo deck) has a clear cut win condition that they just control their way to.
If you cast this with just hero power on turn 5 it's a volcanic potion. You do lose the two armor but that's not a huge deal. This card is great with shield block first and formost, 3 mana dragon fire potion at the cost of 5 armor is a great dea. It's also a full 5 mana board clear with bring it on, and can easliy clear the board for 5 mana with the new 2/2.

An archetype that has been dead and out of the meta for months now. If this is the card that helps bring Control Warrior back into the meta then yes it is quite literally meta-defining.
On a serious note, I'm not sure this is the card CW needed. Against aggressive decks you can't afford to play e.g. a 2-card combo Dragonfire Potion when your opponent will just respond with another wave and rebuild the tempo advantage. Also, you have to spend all your armor which could be deadly against decks capable of huge damage bursts. And Sleep with the Fishes, while requiring an activator is not as likely to nuke your own board. Really not sure about it.
How is it that people still argue against control warrior with Jade Druid? You literally just include a Skulking Geist........like it’s done already. I also saw someone argue quest mage against CW.....you just include two dirty rats and wait for the simulacrum play......much like it’s done already.....CW will have one really tough opponent and it will be razakus. It’s definitely winnable with just the two dirty rats though....CW will definitely make a come back with this and I wager that it’ll use the recruit mechanic. If you want to use the armor generating kobold you can just run the 7 mana 3/3 recruit an 8 drop. You will also have plenty of room for SWtF and this if you employ the recruit mechanic.

Dummy.
No, it's meta-reversing. Or in this case, PTSD-flashbacking.
To me, "meta-defining" should bring us something new and hopefully more interesting than the same old battle we endured for the first three years of the game.
If this card had existed back on the pre-Jade days where you could actually play CW, would this card even make the cut? My honest opinion is a resounding "No".
Imagine two scenarios: You're building up a lot of armor over the game and now you're forced to shed 10+ for what a brawl and a Shield Slam could do. Or you have no armor, you're under pressure and so you Shield Block into this but thanks to the magic of bonemare, the're biggest creatures are left. At least brawl has a chance of leaving a weenie. I don't think this card plays out like people are imagining, killing your board and hemorrhaging your armor aren't worth it in a class with Brawl and Sleep With the Fishes.
Dudes yes I hear the arguments about meta defining or not + good or not, but for sure, this shit right here (+ necessary Skulking Geist) are inevitably bringin' CW back (at least those who like this archetype and I will try making it viable, surely not our vast majority of win quick & first gamemates though).
Sadly, still doesn't solve jade problem for warrior.
Skulking Geist is the answer. For now control warrior with geist loosing to jade if he gets perfect tempo play curving jade minions with buffing them. With this new epic + bring it on we could remove any possible jade board. Or even some twig > medivh > kun > ui play.
The only problem I see is Aya because it will leave some 10/10 minion after her death. Smart druids will be playing her late game with gorgonzola. And we have no stable removal like Bash. Maybe some single Spellbreaker will be a staple to compete with deathrattle minions.
Even with the pathetic state of CW atm I can 50/50 vs Jade if I have Geist in deck. The problem is Warrior at the moment has no power play at the moment so we have to drag the game , ussually untik Nzoth. But now, we can stablize in turn 6 with the new common spell, or attack in turn 7 after 3 5/5, or turn 8 Mediv then turn 9 play the 6 or 7 mana spell, or turn 8 with the new legendary, Beside Nzoth turn 10 we ca have Yogg too because we play many spell now. Next expansion CW will have lots of options for the first time in 2 year.
YES! This card is definitely meta-defining. A non-RNG board clear! I wonder if Commanding Shout is necessary to keep your own board alive.
I think this will see play together with DMH. Possibly a new variant of DMH-Warrior: this card as boardclear, armor gain (Armorsmith), maybe Commanding Shout to keep your board alive and regain armor with Armorsmith or Bring it on. I am not a pro deck-builder, but I certainly see the potential of a CW/DMH-Warrior which could outlast Jadedruids and Machinegun Priest.

Wow a warrior card I would want to play. Its a great board clear and actually provides tempo for gaining armour. I really like... very good card.
I was already eyeing a C'thun Warrior this expansion. You can play this the same turn as Ancient shield bearer(either before or after this)

Here's my take on the card in video format: https://youtu.be/wXcgOsOopiw
I'm a tad more skeptical of its power, but I do believe it will help round out Control Warrior in a meaningful way. If we're lucky.

Finally, a good AoE for warrior. Finally!

We run 2 copy of this card, 1 brawl and 1 fish and I think we good enough aoe. Plus small aoe from the weapon
