Assuming that the answer to both questions is yes, I could see myself playing this in exodia mage. The average outcome of most spells in the game is irrelevant to that deck and if you complete your quest sooner, then this is quite powerful.
Ok, all we need now is a 1 mana spell "For the rest of the game you don't have hand size limit anymore, draw a card" and a tutor for the new legendary weapon.
I think this is quite certainly a pretty bad card. Although if the casts count for quest charges, then it has potential. I think they probably won't, and so it probably doesn't have potential.

Why Blizzard, why? I don't understand why something like this is being released. This card could be total cancer. I don't think it will be good, it just might see play though just because there's nothing your opponent can do to play around it. Random effects like these are just obnoxious and not healthy for the game.
This is tribute to D&Ds deck of many things, which can give you amazing rewards or royally mess over the campaign. I think blizzard captured the feeling of that magic item perfectly in the RNG high risk high reward of this spell.
it's also a reference to a card in dream quest, a (totally amazing) game designed by peter whalen. there is a 'deck of wonder' equipment card that generates you a random card at the beginning of each turn.
If the scroll casts Pyroblast do I get to choose the target or is it random as well? Not that it would make the card playable but at least it wouldn't compete with Glacial Mysteries for the worst spell in Standard.... Well,at least I can meme with it... I doubt I'd ever craft this but it's going into a Deck for sure if I open it.... Hopefully the other epic is something useful, you know a 5 mana AOE would be nice....

Why wouldn't it? YOU cast this when drawn.
It doesn't say you. The card casts itself. Now, that's just the wording, which isn't always 100% accurate. We'd need to test it out or have the word of blizzard on it to be sure. I think both ways are possible, just that the way the wording is... And the way that I think blizzard would design a card, both make me think it won't work.
i never even thought of that. but it should work that way because the token is a spell and it uses the word "cast" in the token. it would be alot either to use this than cabalist tome in exodia mage and just go full card draw because now you dont need spots for the tomes spells, or any other spell generators. i suppose theres the problem of landing on AI but that can be played around
2 questions:
Does this case ANY spell or just mage spells?
Do the cast spells count for quest mage?

It is also going to be so painful to lose to...
Isn't this broken in quest mage?
Meme card = 100 dust
5 mana: Add 5 Ultimate Infestation to you deck.

card is amazing, tons of fun. also, synergy with Arcane Tyrant
The devs that design these flagrant rng mage cards, might have a gambling addiction.
Release the Kraken!
In a mage deck that draws a lot of cards fairly fast this could be useful and/or backfire horribly. Least it's fun.
I'm fucking sick of this RNG crap. Seriously, fucking stop Blizz.

"この 先は 暗い 夜道 だけが も 知らない それでも信じて 進むんだ 星が その道 を 少し でも 照らしてくをるのを"
Well, the only upside of this card is for fatigue decks.
Downside of that is when you cast Sprint or something.
now you can drop Acolyte of Pain on turn 5, ping it and suddenly throw Pyroblast on your opponent, or cast Flamestrike. THIS CARD IS THE NUTS!
I'm already seeing the trolden clip of Scroll of Wonder into Deck of Wonders
