Are people really suggesting this is "weaker" than Ice Block? Holy crap, my head.
Here's an extremely common situation. Your opponent has a 5 attack minion, a 4 attack minion, a 3 attack minion, and a 1 damage hero power. You have 10 life.
Ice Block: Opponent hits you to one life, then pops ice block. You're at one life.
This card: Opponent hits you with the 5 attack minion, or potentially the 3 attack one to play around Sudden Betrayal. This triggers. You're at 5 or 7 life.
Saying "They can just ping you and the secret is wasted!" is completely missing the point. They have 13 damage on the board, if they ping you for 1 the secret is not wasted - they lost 12 damage. In this case, this secret, at 1 mana less than Iceblock, saved you from more damage.
This is an absolutely amazing card and you do not understand this game if you think otherwise.
If you are playing as rogue and opponent has 13 damage on board plus an obvious amount from hand and it is his turn, you are doing something wrong anyway.
Maybe you're setting up a combo finisher. Maybe you're just about to hit your Miracle phase. Tempo Rogue is not the only deck in existance.
What the fuck are they doing? They gave Ice block to Rogues. The fucking psychopaths. It's all over now. Game Over
here's the difference. if you play this turn 2 and the enemy pings you for 1 then that secret did nothing.
Well then you obviously don't fucking play it whenever you have 2 mana. You play it when you're going to die. That's the whole point of Ice Block.
Obviously this card is slightly worse but it's still an Ice Block for Rogue which alone makes it so good it can single handedly break Miracle again.
Holy shit this guy is an idiot. Are you just going to plan on keeping this otherwise dead card in your hand the entire game until the turn before you think you're going to receive lethal damage? Just wait until they show lethal on board and then play this, otherwise don't, great plan. Card is not ice block. With ice block you don't have to think about whether or not the opponent cant deal lethal from hand.
Yeah...whats wrong with keeping it in hand? There is a lot of fucking cards you just keep in hand till a point where they are best used...there is nothing idiotic about it.
Also, you don't have to wait till they show lethal on board, you can play this any time you want to avoid a big damage turn, lethal or otherwise. You are right, the card ISN'T iceblock. It's more versatile than iceblock in that you can use this to avoid a lot more actual damage at the cost of more guaranteed situation of avoiding lethal. It CAN do what iceblock does, but it's a bit more tricky in that case. But Iceblock can't do what this can.
Honestly people keep comparing it to iceblock, it's far more like icebarrier.

Swearing is a feeble attempt of a weak mind to express itself forcefully.

Not sure if you took offense to all the swearing but let me clarify the tone. I said "fucking" to emphasize "a lot". Not to try and talk down to anyone. If that was unclear I apologize. It wasn't my intent at all to speak down to the previous poster.
Now if you already understood that and simply decided to completely change the topic to our word choice and how it relates to our minds, I can't say I give a shit about your opinion on that matter.
But hey how bout we get back on track yeah? If you have something to say about my opinion on Evasion, a counter point perhaps I'd love to hear it. At the moment I think the card is amazing. I think too many folks though really do see it as a Rogue Iceblock currently. I think in actual use it won't be used that way most of the time (though certainly sometimes).
For me the actual question is whether or not delaying their damage for one turn will really be that "good" for rogue. There are outliers where maybe you didn't have vanish and are hoping to draw it a turn or two later I guess. That seems like a pretty specific circumstance though.

I think the only way it would see play is if the misdirection secret would see play aswell. Both of the secrets protect against different things. It is true that this secret is not as good as ice block because they can just one shot you with a big minion. However the other secret will punish this line of play. It would have to be run in a miracle deck and i think looks pretty weak there. This card will see experimentation but probably wont see play. You have to remember that about 80-90% of cards wont see play in the next three months from this expansion because there are so many cards in a the standard pool. These cards from this expansion are not going to make new decks, just most likely make existing decks stronger.

I mean it's entirely possible that we won't see any new deck types that are strong enough to compete in the top tiers. But there will certainly be new decks. I think token Rogue is a real possibility. Jade rogue now is on the cusp of competing but was generally too slow to really get going. I think Faldorei Strider actually has some hope of creating a new Rogue deck. If not now perhaps after rotation.
As far as killing you with one big minion, that is rarely the case unless you are playing purify priest. Again, remember I won't be playing this to avoid lethal many times. I will be playing this on a turn where I simply want to avoid damage from multiple sources. Again, you keep likening this to ice block. It doesn't serve the same purpose as ice block. Ice block is there to prevent ONLY lethal damage. This can, and should be used to prevent large amounts of damage from multiple sources.
I Keep seeing your comments in this post, and i must say... I strongly agree with you! The idea of the tokens from Fal'dorei Strider is something that i was really hoping to push all kinds os slower rogues to be more consistent.
I made a secret miracle rogue myself, and I would want you to check it out, if you could... keep in mind that i will wait until all cards are released to update it, so there is no elven minstrel in the deck.
I just realized we'll be able to play Mad Scientist in Rogue in Wild. Might not be quite good with evasion, but it will be cool with other two secrets.

Interesting card. I think it may see some use.
I really like the fact that Blizzard finally gave rogues a card like this one. I just love this card, it's so roguish. :)
