Shouldn't since there is Snowfury Giant . But interesting question since you can have an amount of armor where there is no corresponding mana cost. And I guess you are right that the next cheaper minion will be summoned. Otherwise is has a certain drawback that you can't stack up armor as high as you want. (Better read the card more carefully next time. Or maybe it just got changed :)
As to the card itself, I think it will be playable. For one, you can have armor at the beginning of your turn, which makes an 8 mana 8/4 + plus something a reasonable play from 4 armor or more. But it costs only 8 mana, so it is combineable with Iron Hide or Bring It On! . That can be a massive tempo swing. And 8 health is not always easy to remove.
In Wild Its legit OP with Justicar, Shieldmaiden and all the other insane armor cards
Yeah, great idea, until that game where you recruit your Justicar and shieldmaidens. You seen a lot of people running Justicar and Yshaarj in the same deck? Probably not.
This generates random minions. Doesn't recruit anything. Your weird Y'shaarj comment earlier is starting to make a lot more sense if you think this recruits minions from your deck.

Then don't run recruit cards with those cards... What card do you think you are responding to?
... What ?
I think you are misunderstanding the card. Geosculptor Yip doesn't recruit. It summons random minions.

You seem to think this card recruits minions. It doesn't. It summons them randomly, not from your deck. I realised you were misreading the card after I posted that so I edited the post.

awesome card art. really loving the artistic flavour of this set.
got the K&C hype from the art alone... I just hope I get some cool tempo tools, as so far everything looks pretty control orientated. well not everything, but a lot.
I guess it can't hurt to switch up my playstyle for a while anyway.
This is one good card for Control Warrior. Being able to summon a free Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound, Ultrasaur, Deathwing, Dragonlord or Deathwing every turn is seriously dope, although there are some cards like C'Thun, N'Zoth, the Corruptor and Sea Giant that you probably wouldn't want to summon. The other problem is that it has to compete with The Lich King, Rotface and Grommash Hellscream for the 8 mana spot, all of which are really good legendaries with a number of advantages over this card. I feel like this guy might end up being the second coming to Varian Wrynn - a Warrior legendary predicted to be game-changing but, on its play testing, ends up having little to no impact.
A fun card and a unique interaction with armor we've not seen before. Also, not completely useless. I don't feel he's a great legendary by any stretch but not terrible either. Since he guarantees value when he's dropped (because you just aren't going to drop him unless you have at least some armor) and since he continues to generate value so long as he stays in play, I feel that at least one deck will be able to fit him in.
This may not be the flashiest or the best legendary of the set, but it's certainly not the worst either and unlike others we've already seen, I feel this one will at least be playable to a certain degree. So, that's how I'm rating it. Playable.
Nice, a Control Warrior card in a meta where Control Warrior is not a thing. But maybe we will get there...I vote for making any wins before turn 20 invalid...I love heavy control oriented decks with a load of high value (legendary) minions.
I have a question: if this summons C'Thun, would it count as my C'thun (would the stat/taunt buffs apply)? It's really important, cause there's not many 10 drops in standart, and you can easily get 10 armor as C'thun Warrior.

Short answer: every C’thun you summon is your C’thun. All buffs apply.
Dunno although strong and all this card just seems bland as a design.. and the character featured doesn't make any sense in warrior.. they jsut threw the flavour away with this card.. by design it gets a 0/10 specially since last expansion we got a VERY similar card for warrior.. and this effect is already kinda overused.. (forbidden shaping, medivh, tavern brawl of summoners, karazhan portals)
the powerlevel of the card.. well you would want it in a big warrior deck it's a very good late game value card.. (or mid game rather when cheated with recruit and barnes)
No, "...cost equal to your armor (up to 10)" means it summons a minion with cost equal to your armor (up to 10), which cleary means above 10 is also possible. This is especially true for 13 or 26 cost minions!

???
You wrote it yourself: "(up to ten)" so 10 Armor is the maximum armor that is considered for summoning the minion. 10+ armor will always summon a 10 drop.
The flavour is what bugs me the most about this card. The best, and obvious, connection is that they are sculpting the armor into minions. But wouldn't it be better art to have some wax/armor/clay golem thingy?
Or the kobold sculpting a minion from a pile of armor/junk using wax as glue? Idk... The concept is awesome and supports the control meta +1. The artwork itself is good but totally unrelated to warrior -1.
Playable, yes. The really question though is will control warrior by playable?
As per your explanation, (up to 10) is a constraint neither for your armor nor the cost of the minion. Then what does the (up to 10) mean exactly? :) I think it's there so you won't summon an 8/8 with 100% chance if you have more than 10 armor.
Well, to be honest, if we don't count vanilla, the only real contender (besides Fire PLume's Heart) is Malkorok.
That said, it's not bad for big control warriors, can be crazy good in wild thanks to Justicar, and has very good synergy with Iron Hide and Bring It On!
But I feel like this won't help much against Tier 0 Priest.

4/8 is not bad for 8 mana, but a bit weak.
However! Summing huge minions each turn is just amazing.
Warriors can easy get 10 Armour.
I like this card alot, looks like fun!
Although....we have alot of good 8 drops already....soo it might not make the cut.

CW back? Or not, who knows. Wil lbe good in wild, I imagine, not sur eabout standard. The armor amassing decks just don't exist right now. DMH, maybe?
