Seems good. Sounds like just any card caused damage? Like the 3/2 IMP, 5/6 demon, hellfire, abyssal enforcer, the 3/3 spell discover guy, There are certainly plenty of sources, and this card directly makes them all better. Seems amazing, though it feels a little over costed. guessing it goes to 6 and 9? seems like very good removal.
So basically the question is, is this good enough for Zoo, i doubt it since Zoo wants board not situational removal, the healthgain is also irrelevent since zoo doesnt care about hp zoo cares for board and if it loses board it loses game but the other cards that damage you wont be run in handlock and hellfire is not enough on its won...so i guess this will see no play.
This was revealed alongside 2 other cards, Kobold Librarian and Vulgar Homunculus. Both of these cards are ridiculously good, dare I say INSANELY good on their own and also both damage to your hero, making this card very easy to activate. Even if you don't activate it, Dealing 3 and Healing 3 is passable in Warlock where healing is high demand, but those cards make this card so easy to activate that you're basically obligated to play it.

Handlock wants both the new 2/4 taunt demon and the 2/1 draw kobold, so your argument is nill.
I'm not sure why some people still think this isn't that good. This is a great card. Make sure you check out the rest of the cards revealed that synergize with this one and you will see its potential.

This is a great card and probably the easiest to upgrade. Even off of a dead draw, it not a wasted turn. Very good... 2 copy auto include. Bloodreaver Gul'dan says thank you.

The other two cards absolutely will be ran in handlock/controllock though.

A bit expensive but interesting enough you don't need to take x amount of damage so any damage from your cards would upgrade this.

deal 7 damage with lifesteal is really good for 4 mana.
Dealing damage to yourself is meh though.
