super strong control matchup card since you basically only press button anyways.
Right? and it also makes the 5/5 for free better, not directly, but by introducing more totem synergy to the deck. It seems like they are pushing a totem build for shaman, and with this to back it up, it may just be good enough.
On second though though... it's pretty hard to get all 4... with 3 random totem generators (the new deathrattle one, and the 3/4 that generates them with spells. ) it seems like you'd just get a board full of random ones. it may be too hard to pull off to be worth it. On the otherhand the new tools seem to be begging for a rebuild of blood lust shaman.
Too situational, having all 4 totems on the board rarely happens, and even if you use the new shaman cards to generate the missing totems, you essentially clogged your hand with 2-3 subpar cards, to make a 7-9 mana combo just to summon alakir.
Granted, you don't need extra support, you can always use your HPs and since it doesn't provide a threatening body, the opponent my even ignore some of them. BUT STILL I don't think this card is worth it. Really situational - fine stats, but a tricky requirement.

I'm not sure about that, you are also setting up for blood lust, the free 5/5, and all these totem cards make the +1/+1 pump card better. testing is definitely in order.
Thunder Bluff Valiant was sooo much stronger. I was hoping that they will give some good-old totem synergy for shaman, but this one is too inconsistent.
Its super clunky - consider you need to have 4 totems on the board plus you need two open spots on the board (one for this guy, one for the AlAkir). Which means you only have extra slot to play with... Feels more like a gimmick than an actual viable gameplan.
But then again, who knows - maybe they will print some shaman spell in the future that makes it good, like: 4 mana, summon all 4 basic totems.
Right. The deathrattle one seems okayish in a totem deck, but randomly summoning totems actually has anti-synergy with this. One good thing all these cards might do is to get people to trade into your totems when they otherwise might not have. You could actually build a deck that seems like it runs this, but then you don't actually run it, so that people make bad trades and give you more time to set up your combos (blood lust / evolve).

This is true but there are few things to keep in mind. It's already been pounded into our heads (from experience most likely) that leaving minions on board for Shaman is dangerous. So getting a board with all four totems is a HUGE hoop to jump through to get what is a "good" but generally not game winning card.
Secondly, with cards like Psychic Scream coming out for what is already a strong strong class in this meta. Then you have Cataclysm for the second best control class currently Warlock. The worst part is that Primal Talismans gets fucked by Psychic Scream :(
I can say though, on the upside, Shaman is really good at just keeping shit on the board and perhaps I am over estimating priests ability to remove stuff. I agree testing is in order, but I am dubious. It just seems like a lot to go through just to get Al'Akir

Suddenly, Tuskarr Totemic is way more viable in Wild.
Valar Morghulis
will see play if the totem thing worked, it really depends

makes bricked HP not as awful
I kinda feel this won't be that easy to fulfill.

This is a cool mechanic. Shaman needed a new way to play.
First thing is that the flavour of this card is AMAZING!
the card itself is just fun, but makes me kind of want to play a meme shaman deck just to pull this off.
Might be a competitive card, but really unlikely as getting all 4 of the totems are pretty hard.
a 5 mana 5/5 is pretty decent stats.
Probs going to see play.
i like it!
weird. seems bad. also sucks to see shaman pushed yet again into another direction. murlocs? freeze? totems?

The potential is there but we will need to see more totem mechanics for this to truly shine
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.
I have a feeling the legendary for shaman will be a totem
Oh never mind I just realized they already released it
- No totem for shaman here, not competitive.
