I also have to go with Reno. It was just stupid to have your opponent down sometimes as low as 1 health and BOOM back to full! SO frustrating to have outplayed them the whole game and that one card changes the outcome.
I always hated Flamewaker, whilst perhaps not as oppressive as others listed it was very much unfun to play against.
I miss Flamewaker. Was a staple of Tempo Mage which there really isn't anymore since this card died. (and no I don't count elemental mage it's not NEARLY as good or fun as old Tempo)
Jade idol by far - it destroys all the slow greedy decks I play. Prince isn't that annoying of a card in my opinion. Sad to see so much hate on good ol Reno (One of my favorite cards of all time).
Jade Idol. Patches the Pirate is pretty damn terrible as well. Keleseth isn't so bad, once you take away patches in combo with shadowstep it's almost a fair card.
Looks like a lot of people are picking cards because they don't like them, not because they're poorly designed.
A pick off the top of my head would be The Boogeymonster. It's overpriced for the base stats, the ability isn't very strong, and he doesn't have charge so you must wait to gain value. Nobody can afford to spend 8 mana on this minion unless they are already winning. Horrible design that should have never even been a common.
You're contradicting yourself here. If "bad design" covers cards that are too weak to see play, then it also covers cards that are too strong.
Except I didn't say anything about stuff being "too strong," I said it appeared as if people were listing cards "because they don't like them."

Come on, guys, you are listing up your "hate" cards, which actually see play, and are part of a meta without any really OP decks! Here are some designs I find bad:
Mayor Noggenfogger: Not fun, awful value, not fun to play agianst, can screw yourself over as much as your opponent, minions can still only attack enemies, and I got both an golden AND a normal one in packs, BLAH!
Void Crusher: The first inspire minion, and another one you only hope not to draft in arena or get by random effects. Why the mirror effect on TOP of bad stats? He actually kills himself too
Hemet Nesingwary: Another awful card, mainly made to piss people off after they got their hopes up seeing that glow.
Servant of Yogg-Saron: Spells cast with random targets are bad and not fun! This one sucks a little less in arena, though.
Core Rager: A completely failed attempt at pushing "empty hand" hunter.
Wee Spellstopper: Weak situational effect and understatted. Why??
Backstreet Leper: Pack filler, and a lame excuse for an aggro minion. Would be bad even at 2 mana.
Jade Idol has to be the worse card pretty much ever. no skill, basically no decision, summon A LARGER AND LARGER MAN! makes me sad everytime i see it played.
Bad design can make a card unplayable bad or auto-include OP. No one hates cards that never see play. A lot of people hate cards the see a ton of play because they are poorly designed as being way to good. UI and Keleseth are two good examples. People aren't confusing hate with bad design, they are naming cards they hate because of their bad design.
UI is by FAR the worst. The game is over when this is played. There is no setup required, though it can be rushed with a couple ramp cards that are already Druid staples. The card has more value than any card in HS history and takes away all risk/choice from the Druid class.
Y'all need to get off the Prince already. Leave him alone. He's incredibly diesel.
Especially in Rogue.
I played a game where my starting hand was 1 prep, 1 Shadowstep and 2 mimic pods. Dream fuckin hand! After popping the pods, i get 2 Shadowsteps and 2 Kelseths. Dude, I lost my dick...i couldn't believe it!
On turn 4 I run double Kelseths and triple Shadowsteps... are you fuckin me? This will never happen again! All my minions in my deck get +5 - +5. Love it!
And on Turn 5 the very next card I draw is, a Southsea Deckhen at 7-6 for 1 mana. A 6-6 patches is some scary shit! Incredible fun!

Woah you are so skilled... Sums up why people hate that card.

But I don't think being OP is the same as bad card design, and especially not the WORST card design. Look at my list, and tell me you honestly think these hate-cards are worse designs than them!
2 mana Unleash the Hounds with 2 mana Starving Buzzard and the original +1 +1 Undertaker and maybe 1 -2 Small-Time Buccaneer were indeed bad designs, but the most powerful cards ATM are nowhere near that level imo, and they were all OP because of other strong cards, not by being insane by themselves.
Obviously Jade Idol.

Tortollan Primalist: Did anyone ever play this card? A stupid nerf to Evolve, not much else.

Coliseum Manager: What? Why would anyone play that card?
Lil' Exorcist: Completely failed attempt at a tech card vs. the cancerous deathrattle decks at the time.
Vryghoul: Pay 3 health for a situational 2-2 minion. Why?
Divine Strength: Super weak, unplayable pack filler, would not even see play in quest pally.
Wretched Tiller: Another packfiller sorry excuse for an aggro minion.

Jade Idol has to be the worse card pretty much ever. no skill, basically no decision, summon A LARGER AND LARGER MAN! makes me sad everytime i see it played.
Ultimate Infestation also pretty horrible, no skill, all rewards.
Prince Keleseth .....just sad to loose to..such a coinflip.
Wait... is this the worst card design thread or cards we hate thread?
