All control warlock wants to do lately is staling a game. You also get demons with taunt for DK. I think this card is actually great. 3/9 taunt is at least 6 mana minion but it also has demon tag. Yes you can silence it. But you can also silence tirion and spikeridged steed but everyone is running it. Also Priest 9 mana minion cna be silenced but some kazakus decks are running it.
i feel like rin and voidlord make warlock so much stronger because warlock is now able to beat priest and aggro because they can protect themself with the taunts and have enought late game with rin + voidlord + n'zoth + bloodreaver guld'dan
This really needs a powerful new demon buff spell to make those 1/3 more valuable, and even then it's not great as they will often appear on your opponent's turn.

I think this minion is what warlocks need.
How does this win vs raza priest/jade druid? because thats what warlock needs.

It's 9 mana so it's too late in the day for an anti-aggro tool and it's nothing special in most control matchups. Yeah it's great with Gul'dan but to spend 9 mana playing a 3/9 beforehand? Ehhhhh.
Yes also with Gul'dan DK you might get those 1/3's back from his battlecry instead of stronger Demons - the board space is an issue with this card.

Against jade Druid you need an early skulking Geist. And then this cards help stalling for your AoE. Against priest... I don’t really know what would help. An early Guldan with two doomguards, probably. Or a spellstone “call of the demons” ...
Can you guys explain to me why obsidian statue is way more better?
This card is still very good against aggro(3/9 taunt + 3*1/3 taunts is pretty good), and obsidian statue is good in priest with barnes because priest has revive tools.
Obsidian statue is better, that's true, but I don't think it's that much of a difference(Also, I really think they created obisidian statue to make the quest more viable, probably blizzard didn't intent at the first thought to make big priest stronger).
And this card have great synergies with Krul the Unshackled.
Because Statue heals you when attacked. Because Statue has a way better deathrattle. Because Statue doesn't die to SW:P. Because Statue doesn't shuffle 3 Voidwalkers in your deck on turn 10 SW:P + Psychic Scream.
If Obsidian Statue had great plays and synergies(and still have), I don't know why this wouldn't have.
Obsidian can literally change a match yet this just makes it last longer.
I don't think so. I'm a priest player(I played any deck, from razakus to quest), and I can say that obsidian statue is very good, but not a game changer.
Against aggro, if you've reached 9 mana, you already pretty won the game. Against control, it's good but they still can win.
The only decks I seen that obsidian statue is insane and it wins the game are elemental mage and aggro druid(if I get to 9 mana).
Except you rarely play Statue on Turn 9. You Barnes, you Resurrect, you whatever that 5/5 card is... and then you Resurrect. Obsidian at least takes out a potentially big threat when the deathrattle effect activates, this does absolutely nothing but slow down your demise.
Something thematically close to Warlocks. With the way their class identity has been treated, I was expecting Mickey Mouse, or Goofy.
Release the Kraken!
Ahem, it is TRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH.
Now they are going to use this as an excuse to not print any good demon taunts for the next 2.5 years, just fucking great.
When the weak court death, they find it.
Battlecry: Die to Shadow Word: Pain and shuffle 3 Voidwalker in your deck with Psychic Scream.
Its a demon so maybe it has potential, but its cost is way to high to make it an auto include in every deck card

So this card is a demon but volatile elemental isn’t?

Highlander warlock incoming.

This should cost 8 mana maybe? Wouldn't hurt the power level that much.
