People need to get their head's checked if they think this is bad with Gul'dan, you only need four demons in order to get maximum value out of Gul'dan now so in Wild that means you play Voidcaller, Despicable Dreadlord, Abyssal Enforcer and Voidlord for Gul'dan with the Voidcaller and Voidlord doubling for N'zoth.
Wow. As a control warlock main, I think this is great. Personally, I have wanted some taunt demons so bad that I would have run a bog creeper if it had the demon tag, just for more guldan value.
This card is much better than bog creeper, and has the demon tag.
The point of this card is to stall. Its good against aggro, if you make it to turn nine, and it will also stall against control. Why do you want so much stall? For that new Warlock legendary of course. This will stall people out until you can play all those seals. Is that good? Who knows? But a highlander control demon warlock is looking like a possibility to me.
It's somewhere between playable and bad imo. Gives good value to DK when played before...which is the downside to this card. But it can be played to stabilze the board I guess in slower decks. But the 9 mana turn is a bit late against aggro decks...so I don't really know...could be included in a couple decks...maybe...
meh, since Paladin dropped out of meta after the nerfs the only ones running Silence effects are Priests and only some aggro decks. With this upcoming expansion though we'll see a rise of Ironbeak Owls and Spellbreakers
9 mana cards need to be game winning good ( you probably cant play ANYTHING on the same turn you play it not even hero power ) and the only time when this is game winning is against an aggro deck ( that doesnt have a silence for it ) and by the time you get to 9 mana a control lock vs aggro matchup is over in a lot of cases...
If only it was 8 mana it would be great for sure. At 9...maybe ok with Krul.
the artwork is really nice though. probably my favourite artwork so far from this set. Not sure how good it will be. I mainly play zoo type decks with warlock though... hoping to branch out in some form of control lock soon though. really want to try out the deathrattle control lock with n'zoth, so this will fit into that nicely.
After seeing Crypt Lord in action, I'm a believer in high-health, low-attack taunt minions.
After seeing Spreading Plague in action, I'm a believer multiple dinky taunt minions.
However, there aren't really any viable late game Warlock decks right now. Hopefully there will be some solid reveals to go along with this, otherwise, I don't see this being played outside of Wild.
Why am I the only one who thinks this is a fantastic card?
I see people commenting that this is just 6 Voidwalkers and it should be 6 mana. Ugh, that's not how it works. Look at Red Mana Wyrm. It's basically 2 Mana Wyrms. Does that mean it should be a growing 2-mana 2/6? You can't just add stats and mana cost together.
Sludge Belcher was dismissed as a mediocre card when it was revealed. Everyone called it a Sen'jin Shieldmasta + Goldshire Footman. Voidlord is suffering from the same accusations. It's a better Ancient of Blossoms + Three Voidwalkers. Yes, the fact that it's 9 mana makes it much worse against aggro, but it's still going to soak up massive amounts of damage once down.
Combined with cards like Voidcaller and Krul the Unshackled, I think this will make N'Zoth Warlock very strong in wild.
If Warlock gets one Malganis style demon buffer this card would be really excellent. On its own, with the information we have so far about the expansion, this would not be good in a deck that already runs the usual demons. However, this is a demon which does not discard cards, something which has thrown out many valuable cards from warlock hands, Bloodreaver Guldan included. This may be inferior to playing doomguard, but it is more reliable, and I'm willing to believe there's room in the meta for a more consistent warlock that refrains from using discard, whatever form that may take.
I see potential, but this is going to be dependent on how many warlock cards come out that are strong enough carry the mid game.

Look at this thing and let me know what you think!
At first glance this only appears strong with Krul or getting it cheap off of bane of doom, Kazakus potion, traffiker etc., 9 mana seems far too much otherwise don't think I'd intentionally put it in a deck, don't most decks pack a silence now anyway and our priest overlords 2?
honestly after psychic scream everything else seems subpar XD

With dragons being dominant in meta next expansion, this is gonna get rektd by Book Wyrm
Couldve been decent if it werent for its shitty initial body for 9 mana
This seems to have more value in wold because of synergy.

Think it is playable as a 1 of but not in standard.
Much better in wild where priest is slightly less prominent and Renolock plays N'Zoth.
Vvreeeew.
"What have you got there,
PinocchioMalygos?"Pretty sure there will be a recruit a demon card in this set which might just change evaluation on this one.
Sogoth is 9 mana and did not get played. I don't think this is good as sogoth.

I like it A LOT.

I don't think it's effective enough as a wall. And much too weak attack power on the original body.
