Greater Pearl Spellstone: Summon a 6/6 minion with taunt
But apparently instead it seems to be you just summon two 2/2 minions with taunt and three 2/2 minions with taunt respectively. Might still be better because you do get more bodies on the board to protect your face. That may make it better against aggro.
Maaaaybe in a heal-blackguard deck but I'm not convinced at all. Really sad it doesn't summon Silverhand Recruits. IMO the big letdown about this card is that a 2 mana 2/2 taunt is terrible while the one from Druid (1 mana for 2 dmg) is decent without upgrades.
If it heals you, it should. I.e. if you are not at full health and attack with a lifesteal minion, you get healed and the Stone is upgraded (or just saves the heal for future upgrade).
It's not bad, but the problem is that it kinda loses much steam the latter you play it, and just for 1 it's terrible. So even if you get 3 of these, they will not survive long against turn 8+ plays and early, where you ideally need the taunt wall against aggro decks, you won't have access to too much heal. Maybe with the new 3 drop it can work out, but why not just play HOW LONG CAN THIS GO ON instead in that case.
As long as Raza priest is outthere, paladins have no chance with such cards. What synergy with the Benevolent Djinn? That card is not going to see play, there are better 3 cost cards for paladins. Paladins don't need anti aggro tools, they need fucking anti control tools, or something to give them value. This is nice value, but guess who is gonna give you bad time to play it against him? Priest yes, not only dragon but Raza too.
This isen't supposed to be a card that floods your board in an aggro deck. However, it's pretty effecient at stalling the board, to allow you to reach the latter turns, where you can play your big stuff.
Depending on what the Meta looks like, and what remaining cards Paladin gets, then this might actually be playable.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
Interested to see what the remaining Pally cards are but at this point I’m just not seeing how Control Healadin will have enough juice in the tank to consistently take down other top control decks.
If they were 3/3 they would at least been immune to potion of madness and a bit more resistant to aoe...
I was really hoping that the upgrade was a 4/4 and then a 6/6. It would have been a sort of Thing From Below (a bit more clunky probably). Well even staying as a single 2/2 and gaining divine shield and lifesteal would have been more interesting
Pretty bad. I feel like only an aggressive Pally would want this card at all, meaning that the heal trigger is very hard to proc. Pally already has a 1-drop that's better than a 2/2 taunt for 2...I just don't see it.
Well let's just see how is this will be going in the next month
Aww damn. I was hoping the upgrades would be:
Pearl spellstone: Summon a 4/4 minion with taunt
Greater Pearl Spellstone: Summon a 6/6 minion with taunt

pretty good against aggro
Its an interesting card for paladin i will give that much.
great synergy with Benevolent Djinn.
However, bit weak and has not the biggest Impact.
3 2/2's for 2 mana might be good, but they are all easily killed.
A meh card, but could be ok.

Does this work with lifesteal?
Guess now we know why they made Benevolent Djinn so bad - but it still could be much better (as could this card) and the combo wouldn't be OP.

Paladins belong to the dumbster so far.
FOR THE HORDE!
This seems like an effective anti Aggro card.

I have two questions about it, maybe you can help me:
1) Does it works if my opponent restores his health? Like a priest using a skill or a hero power?
2) Does it stacks heals below 3? Ex.: My burnsbritle heals me two times for 2 health.
I kinda wish they spent more than 30 minutes designing the spellstone mechanics. Most of them look painfully simple, and lack any type of creativity.
Release the Kraken!

Edit:
"Jasper Spellstone can be upgraded over multiple turns by using the basic Druid hero Power 3 times. It will show partial progress on the card.
If you gain 6 armor all at once Lesser Jasper Spellstone will upgrade into Jasper Spellstone." (Mike Donais)
