A guy on reddit cracked the code for this one. Make a deck that consists of removal and draw, Geist, explore ungoro and Waggle. You play Waggle and then Explore Ungoro on the same turn, so now your opponent would think twice whether they want to pay the ransome, and risk getting Geisted, or continue playing with your deck that has no real win condition. Top level memery!
first, you trade decks. then, you give the ransom spell to your opponent (in hand).
If it is like you said I don't understand why in the text there is "give THEM" and there's not "give him" or "give to your opponent's hand"... have someone in blizzard explained this?
Battlecry: Your opponent loses 5 mana crystals during his or her next turn.
Battlecry: Your opponent loses 5 mana crystals at a later turn when they have sufficiently profited from your tempo loss as a result of playing this card.Or never, if all the cards needed to win have already been drawn by the time you play this.
I could see this in some kind of Mill Rogue: With Shadowstep and Cheat Death you could get some 1-mana Coldlight Oracles in your hand, then you either play first the oracle so your opponent doesn't get the switch-back spell, or you swap your empty deck (maybe even with Hemet) and play two oracles to mill him for 15 damage (1+2+3+4 from oracles, 5 from his draw)
I'm all for interesting meme cards, but unless you have a 2-mana card draw option, the most this seems to do is give your opponent one of your cards. Even for a meme card, I don't really get this one.
it's worse than that, you give them one of your cards, and a tempo advantage, it's an 8 mana 5/5, they pay 5 mana to get their deck back, keep one of your cards, and have 5 mana left to counter the 5/5 body you just played.
Just draw your whole Deck, Play counterspell, next turn King and you are fine. Alternativly you use the get a 0cost copy secret or even Cho. Quite easy way to Mill your opponent. Still easy to counter, though...

There is a Choose One wording to be made here, somewhere.
This card is going to royally screw a lot of decks over with that Un'goro trick. Quest Mages and Raza Priests are going to hate this card. Druids and Rogues can totally cheese this card.
Double Naturalize when your opponent has 6+ cards, play the King and they lose the ransom. OR play the king, and immediately do double Oracle (with innervate) to mill 4 of their top cards from their deck.

Well exactly, most meme-cards require you to build an inconsistent/odd deck to pull off, you succeed once every 5 games or so and feel great when you. This one (besides that Explore Un'Goro deck) seems designed to make your opponent go: Okay, you've slightly inconvenienced me at a considerable cost to yourself. It's just weird.

imagine doing this in someone whose hand is full, lol

1. Run a stall and draw deck without wincondition
2. Play the king + explore un'goro
3. You beat your opponent with your un'goro deck because his deck is shit
4. Opponent switches back and you play skulking geist, milling his entire deck

This card is pure evil.
